Hopefully the weather cooperates. The truck series race this morning was postponed for rain.

Checking in!

I haven't checked the weather, but I can assume

Track looks really wet.  It's going to be a while before they start running.

Looks worse tomorrow.  :(

Is it 3:30 green flag or 3:30 pre-race?

Pre race I think, green probably in 15 minutes or so unless the track is soaked

Would they actually race twice tomorrow?

Question applies to future years as well

I live about 30 miles north of the track and it's mostly cloudy and soupy here with some breaks of sun. they can race until 8:45 or so, so they should get it in. there is a cell to the west of the track, but by my untrained eye it might miss to the south

wish I was there this weekend

also I should add that outside of a few thunderstorms, it hasn't rained here in NEPA in well over a month. figures the weekend NASCAR comes, it pours

/at least my lawn won't be brown though

It's been the story of the post-COVID season.

But it looks like plenty of windows to race today and tomorrow.

Queue discussion about tracks without lights. I have the list!

I'm down at the pool and see no signs of racing online. Should I head up to my TV or crack open another cold one?

NASCAR told the drivers to be at their cars for 4pm so it looks like they're just about done drying the track

They finished the online racing about a month ago.  This week they're at Pocono.

A female pastor did the invocation and prayed for racial justice. I'm sure no one will mind.

/What the fark is this anthem?

with this race being tied in to Farm Aid, they should have gotten Willie to sing the national anthem

IMHO, that was one of the better openings right there.  No snark:  nice to see them still embrace a pre-race prayer.  How long will that last?

So...someone would give you $50 million to build a new NASCAR track that would be super attractive to both the teams and the fans.  Where would it be and what configuration would you dictate?  And which third of the season would you want your race to be in?
