Fail? Sounds like a win. Sounds like that crazy version of Robocop fans did years ago (possibly most noteworthy for the excessively graphic dick shooting scene).

A wonderful cast, but I can say right now I'm going to miss the sword fight.

You keep using that word. I actually think it means what you think it means.

Best not to mess with perfection.

Not casting Pedro Pascal as Inigo Montoya seems like a lost opportunity.

Stop trying to make Quibi happen. It ain't happening.

There was an awful lot they left out in the movie that could see a remake happening. But the original is such an authentically great movie it's hard to justify the reason for it. Plus a Corgi as a R.O.U.S. sounds adorable.

So I clicked the link all ready to hate, but this actually seems ... not terrible?

/ still don't care about Quibi

Night Train to Wakanda: Plus a Corgi as a R.O.U.S. sounds adorable.

That, I think, is exactly what would save this idea. It'd be crazy to try and replicate the chemistry of the first one, so basically that one line makes me realize this is basically celebrities doing the scenes like we would post them on YT and then doing the whole movie that way. I don't know that it'll work perfectly, but its heart (and brain) are in the right place.

Danny Trejo as Machete Montoya.

ok that looks better. Kind of like where people did 1 minute clips of them doing star wars and you'd get adults one scene, small children in another, then hand drawn sketches, then Lego, then puppets, etc. then everything was spliced to remake the entire film.

I was just musing about this while watching Mandalorian this week. I had no idea

I am choosing to not know what Quibi is, and I'm OK with that.

It's Quibi, so it will be 15 minutes long and require you to turn your phone sideways and back several time during the "movie" right?

Quite the cast, but Quibi, really? Did this film need a remake?

stoli n coke: Stop trying to make Quibi happen. It ain't happening.

I've been calling it "the new Mike Bloomberg presidential campaign."

This sounds really amusing and I'd like to watch but... Quibi? I don't want to sign up for another (failing) streaming service even if it's for a trial. I'm hoping it will migrate off platform somehow.

Also, better link. For all you hoping, Pedro Pascal does play Montoya in at least one scene:

It's more like the Meg Whitman California governor campaign, b/c she's actually one of the executives at Quibi.

Yeah, but then you have to worry about really farked up aspect ratios since quibi shoots their shiat to fit on a phone.

NOOOOOOOOO...huh?  This actually seems pretty cool!  I'm not signing up for whatever service it's on, but seems like a good idea.

I also had no idea what a quibi is and looked it up:

LOL, no. Fark you. Nobody wants to watch movies on their farking phone. I'll wait till it gets dumped onto YouTube, thanks, and watch it there like a normal person.

Still not downloading Quibi, but I'll definitely honor the Dread Pirate Roberts and visit his Bay to get the whole thing once it's done. It looks like silly fun.
