Give them a couple of centuries and they'll be blowing up stars to spell out advertising slogans.

Strange but true: when Coke stops advertising in a locality, consumption drops significantly - something like 30% as I recall. A lot of people actually have to be prompted to drink Coke, or they forget.

I'm just waiting for them to add actual coke back into the recipe.

Great. Now what do I drink? Someone tell me what to drink to fill the void before I dry up and wither away!

There were Coke ads on Facebook? Same question for Unilever and PG. I wonder how much of this is actual social stand versus window dressing on expense trimming.

Aluminum can shortage is causing my decreased consumption, not lack of ads. Now give me my Coke Zero.

I remember reading one time that it doesn't matter which company (Pepsi or Coke) runs a ad campaign in an area, both brands sales go up approximately the same during that campaign. Which shows that the ad campaigns don't really change anybodies mind, they just remind people to drink.

Sort of like political ads these days.

Why would they advertise on Facebook anyway? Old people drink water and poor people drink Monster Energy.

Good to see some pressure finally being applied to Facebook. Facebook has been acting like they are part of an active conspiracy to destroy the US.

Really?  I was going to say, my consumption of most foods is pretty set, and I only drink Coke, so I but it every time I go to the store.  No amount of advertising is going to get me to increase beyond my normal 8-12 cans/day.

I'm oldish and poorish I guess.  I drink sweet tea.  I think it's just sugar water and something turned it brown.  I think this beer may be carbonated as it has bubbles.  Of course it's Budweiser so it's probably not even beer.

Sweet tea is much sweeter than cola (if you make it right), yet still has a lot less calories...which means you can drink a lot more of it.

I remember reading somewhere that "Coca-Cola" is/was the second most-recognized word on the planet, just behind "OK". That's some impressive brand recognition.

They should try making cans out of aluminium instead, I hear there's plenty of that.

Mexican Coke or nothing.  That rule is mostly because I only go to Costco so often and it forces me to ration, but also it's better.

I'm not sure if this is still a thing, but I know they used to sell Coke with real sugar alongside the regular stuff in the regular grocery store around Ramadan since I guess high fructose corn syrup isn't halal. It wasn't clearly labeled other than using a bright yellow cap instead of a white one.
