Ah, he was a living institution. He'll be missed, but 93 is a damn good run.

I've had the pleasure of meeting the man. High-energy is putting it mildly. The man knew a good time, but he had a really warm and welcoming personality. Mr. Mardi Gras was a fitting title because when he was around, everyone was welcome to the party.

Or maybe he just liked me. Who knows?

I had fun years ago at Mardi Gras, tempered a bit by having to play sheepdog for a group of college women with the survival instincts of the fictional version of lemmings and the alcohol intake of a major Irish city.

Lost track of what I was saying. Anyway, RIP Mr. Mardis Gras, you brought a lot of joy and a lot of flashed boobies into the world.

I remember him. Dynamo of energy. Lived in the Quarter 89-91. Saw boobies. RIP.

He was out pub quiz partner a few times years ago.  That was before the memory issues kicked in.  That was hard to see happen.
