I think the creationists can rest easy. There's no evidence that they have any synapses.

I am fascinated by systems that exhibit emergent processes.  And there are a lot of them, usually between the reductionist labels for the various formal sciences (physics-chemistry-biology-psychology)​.

Juc: The universe is so ridiculously complex and awesome I don't know why folks need to feel that god specifically made them by hand.
If I were him I'd set up the system and then watch it all go down.
