Not surprised. NASCAR is the most racist sport there is.

what a piece of shiat. Would be funny if everyone abandons his track.

Oh for fark's sake North Carolina!  Yesterday it was the racist cops being holy shiat racist (thankfully getting fired) now today you have some redneck selling racism in his store.

Who are we trying to impress South Carolina?

I don't see racism as a static state.  I see it as a direction.  I give them credit for moving in the right direction.

A Facebook post on Fulp's page Monday announced the speedway is sponsoring a "Heritage Night" on Saturday. A subsequent post on the event encouraged fans to purchase a variety of items, including Confederate flags and caps, and added, "don't forget your 2nd Amendment Right, 311 Speedway."

Oh yeah, dude is totally sorry about that.

Because you'll hurt their feelings and then they'll vote for Nazis.

So just take a shortcut and call them Nazis.

Why would he take it down? I've been repeatedly assured right here on Fark that it's just a perfectly normal garage pull strap. Seems like exactly the sort of thing a good, honest, god-fearing and tolerant man would sell to racers.

Taking it down... why... that almost makes it seem like it is a noose designed specifically to intimidate, and that certainly can't be correct unless... unless... a bunch of other farkers here actually are...

Oh my. I think a need a moment.

Why do you feel you can't? I think that's probably the nicest thing you could say about them.

I think disgusting is probably a better word, or garbage, or brain-dead illiterate submorons, which is admittedly more than one word, but deplorable, sure.

We're about to see where the rubber meets the road in regards to how NASCAR claims to be against racism. This is where NASCAR will actually show just how serious it is about disavowing racism but I think that most of us are expecting them to shrug their shoulders and continue racing at venues owned by this guy. To put things in perspective the NBA had the balls to give a lifetime ban to an owner a few years ago for making racist comments. They forced him to sell his team and he was banned from attending any NBA games or events for life. Something tells me that NASCAR is going to give this guy the equivalent of a strongly worded letter saying "Hey, knock this shiat off at least until this outrage is replaced with something else".

It's only inaccurate because "Horrifically Racist" is a more appropriate term.

2020-06-26 11:10:20 AM
And this, folks, is why the FBI and Nascar took it seriously. Yeah, it may have just been a door pull and it may have been there long before Bubba's team was in that garage, but you don't just accidentally tie a noose and the sentiment is rampant in the "fanbase."

Tearing them down is fine, I guess, but thermite would be so much more satisfying. 27 parts aluminum powder to 80 parts iron oxide, and you can light it with a sparkler! Just perfect for your upcoming 4th of July celebrations! Celebrate our independence by melting a traitor down to slag!

I'm sure the bootleggers with that souped up cars that gave rise to NASCAR would be so proud of modern day fans proclaiming that Blue Lives Matter and that BLM protesters wouldn't have a problem if they didn't have anything to hide.

This has been an interesting flip flop. When this story first broke, a "certain" group of people were very insistent that it was an innocent misunderstanding, and that people shouldn't make some big conspiracy out of it.
Now, that the FBI has determined that it was, in fact, an innocent misunderstanding, the same people are bellowing in outrage that it is a vile and evil plot by Bubba Wallace, Jussie Smolett, et al to falsely portray the poor innocent white man as a racist.
Make up your "minds", to use the term loosely.

311 is just up the road from me...it's an independent dirt track, not NASCAR sanctioned or anyone else for that matter. ..it's also a hole which has the organizational qualities of a highway rest stop.

As a guy who has been in the local racing scene for about a decade, the racism and idiocy that you see at the local short tracks makes a MAGA rally look like story time at the local library.

If you want to hit them hard, you go after their sponsors...but that would probably be a fools errand because most of the local yokel businesses that spend money on billboards at tracks are usually on the same wavelength as the track themselves, it's only the big sponsors and sanctioning bodies which can bring the hammer down.  But I don't think any tours go there either...they used to but see above with the whole organizational qualities comment to why those tours instead to Carolina, Cherokee, Wythe and Bulls Gap instead.

That said, if you want to REALLY hurt them, go after Sunoco, VP Fuels and Renegade Racing Fuels and get them to pull their support (whichever fuel they use) although I think racers get their gas from a Valero down the road from the place. Or Hoosier Tire South which is probably their main supplier.  But like I said, those places are just as much good ol' boys at the tracks are, and they aren't going to give up a customer.

But NASCAR has all kinds of women and minority drivers and crew now, I think I saw one on a TV commercial. Another case of oversensitive liberals.

It would appear that this place is just a hole-in-the-wall local-yokel dirt track, not unlike thousands of others across the country. It's unlikely he'd be subject to any kind of sanctioning by NASCAR.

They assume that only right wingers own guns and that "libruls" wouldn't dare touch a firearm, because it would 1) offend their sensibilities, and 2) it would contradict their political beliefs.

deserving strong condemnation.

I suggest that the word be removed from the English language because if it does apply in this case, it need not exist at all.
