They're even worse. They get to do this stuff in a prison where there are only "correction officers" and "known liars"

BUT MAH FREEZE PEACH!

Nazism is a failed ideology that must always be confronted rationally, demonstrating to every new generation that is a bankrupt ideology. Only by confronting Nazis head on, and challenging them to defend their ideology with facts, can we pull out the poisonous roots of racial / ethnic / religious hatred.

What you do in the privacy of your own property should not be grounds for termination unless you commit a crime. It appears someone else video-taped him too.

He clearly is a POS, but (put the other shoe on) should a conservative employer have the right to fire someone who is screaming obscenities and threats at the cops?

I think we can all agree that the answer is no.

So why is it different here?

If that is the extent of your reforms, it will fail.  Cops have the ability to steal without practical limit.  More formally it is called civil asset forfeiture.  If you merely defund them, they can just steal at a greater rate and will probably target POC at a greater rate to do so.  With that they'll always have the funding they need and then some.  So you need to think a bit more about that.

If society does not have the authority to replace a police department, it is already too late.

You need to abolish and replace police departments, if for no other reason to make sure you still can.

Or more likely a cop in another county. Or just quietly rehired a few months later in an administrative position until he has enough hours to receive his pension.

The cop who killed Daniel Shaver in 2016 and was fired was reinstated in 2018 with a 'budget position' so that he could get his pension.

Aww, it's so cute.

Nazis are cowards. We were marching against Nazis when they had far more power than today. Today, the little shiats know they're in the minority (irony) so if we just show up, they tuck their tails between their legs, and run away like frightened children. The only time they stick around, really, is when they outnumber people. When it's about even they'll be scared, because they're cowards.

Also we can livestream everything, and I encourage that, non-stop, from multiple angles, and make damn sure those Nazis see everyone recording. Then we wait while opposing them for them to engage in verbal debate. Now the odds are they won't, that they'll run away from the cameras like cockroaches scatter from the light.

However let's say you're right and they decide to get physical. That's one of the reasons for all of the cameras live-streaming, to get it all on the record. Next, I've stood next to geriatric black grandmothers opposing Nazis (KKK) and you'd better believe it when I say those ladies have more brass than the Nazis. You don't go out and randomly get violent, because that's what cowardly Nazis do when they think they have the numbers. No, you and the protesters you are with have to have the brass to record while opposing and wait. Wait for what? Some cowardly little Nazi shiat to throw the first punch, because they can't debate using logic and reason. So you wait, calmly, ready to defend yourself (or another) for when that cowardly Nazi to turns violent.  Odds are, if they can't goad the you (and other protesters) into swinging first, they'll bravely run away.

We've seen this repeatedly over the last several years: Nazis / KKK / racists talk tough, but when the chips are down, they lack the moral fortitude, lack the moral imperative, and, well, they bravely run away.

Hobby Lobby employee isn't a tax payer funded position who typically take oaths of office and are entrusted with a gun and the responsibility to serve and protect the public.

I mean Hobby Lobby is a private organization and they can, and have, certainly fired people for less regardless of if I'm okay with it or not. Since I'm not I don't shop there. You don't exactly have the ability to decide you dislike the cops and so shop somewhere else.

The whole analogy is pretty dumb honestly, I mean Hobby Lobby employees can be fired for being bad at their jobs, a level of accountability we don't hold the police to.

A worker at Hobby Lobby attending a pro choice rally does not impede HL's ability to do business. A racist cop showing utter disdain for 54 % of the people he is paid to oversee does.

Faaaaaaaaarrrk that.

When you are a public servant whose specific job is to ensure the order and safety -- yes, the safety -- of the prisoners in your care, and then you openly and publicly show your complete disregard for life and mock the idea of treating civilians humanely, you've forfeited your right to such a job. You've shown you are not fit for the job. You've shown you don't have the character or temperament to safely watch over others. And you've shown that your attitudes are contrary to what the job SHOULD be about.

All in front of the world.

It's little different than a baker standing on his front lawn shiatting in his own hands while wearing a T-shirt that says, "I don't wash my hands before I bake your cake."

And the "your own property" part of this argument is garbage, by the way. He was on the side of the road, knowingly in full public view, purposely putting on this display for a parade of people. If he'd taken two steps forward he'd have been on public property.

He made a clear and specific CHOICE to be very PUBLIC with this.

So again, fark that noise. He deserves to be fired.

It's a shame that I doubt it will stick.

You need to debate them because otherwise they try to trick others into thinking they have "forbidden knowledge" that is right, but suppressed. When you demonstrate that you will openly debate them, gladly, they lose that forbidden knowledge mystique, and it hurts their recruitment.

The only time violence should be used is when it's necessary to defend yourself, or another. Don't get me wrong, that'll be pretty rare as long as we show up. Nazis, especially the Nazis of today, are cowardly little shiats that will bravely run away if they're even slightly outnumbered.
