So I basically have Netflix for Stranger Things, Community and Parks and Rec. Meh, not a bad deal.

Spaceballs!
The Devils Advocate!

And damn, will have to watch Back to the Future again before they pull it.

Also, f*ck that site for somehow bypassing my auto-play video block (somehow) and scaring the sh*t out of me when I was just about to close the tab.

The Devils Advocate was great but I love Satan-y movies and TV shows anyway.  Pacino ranks up there as one of the best devils though. He just devours the scenery.

NBC removed Parks and Rec from Netflix for their streaming service called *checks notes* "Peacock". I'm sure that will be a big hit /s.

This shiat is becoming just like cable unfortunately, but was great while it lasted.

He was fantastic in that movie, which is surprisingly dark and nearly disturbing at times.
Love the rant about god being an absentee landlord, perfectly cast for the role.

Oh fark me, I haven't finished it yet. When is this happening? So every channel is going to have their own streaming service? You're right, I might as well go back to cable. Not that you can get entire series on regular cable but this nickel and dime bullshiat is for the birds. They already roped me into CBS all access for their shiatty Star Trek series. But for each one you think, "well what's another $8/month?".

I do like Amazon Prime though. Not their delivery service, I do database shiat for them and they suck ass but I like the channel ok. Watchmen even sort of grew on me. At first I saw Damon Lindelof and figured it would suck because he's just terrible and it is sort of all over the place but Jean Smart's FBI agent won me over, she's great.

But I digress.

Preaching to the choir man, everyone saw the success of Netflix and had to get a piece of that. I'll never go back to cable but I will probably be watching shows 'at friends places' more often. Friends that live in Russia and China.

Really enjoyed the Watchman TV series as well. Sad that they only plan to do that single season, but also happy they aren't pushing out indefinite seasons until it gets stale and people lose interest. You almost never see that anymore; people having a story to tell, telling it, and then -stopping-, despite commercial viability.

The best on screen devils are the ones who enjoy being the devil. Tom Ellis from "Lucifer" comes to mind. The Lucifer in "Supernatural" is surprisingly lackluster.

And of course there's this one

Replying to you so that everyone gets an in-thread notification: Peacock will be free.

/At least until it either fails or succeeds enough that they decide people will pay for it

Mostly free, it will be ad-supported. Depending on how obnoxious that ad-support is it could be good (and I know they gotta make money somehow). Doesn't really matter in my case though, because either service won't be available in Canada until some currently indeterminate point in the future.

Yeah, and I have some vague notion that there's some kind of premium tier. But the ads for it are really empathizing the "free" part.
