Mullet the penultimate, eh? Been there, partied in the back.

Not sure best example pic for #1.

I may have had Helmethead. It was the style at the time.

I'm happy to report that I've never worn a single hairstyle from TFA! For most of my life, I wore my hair long and straight. For the last five or six years, I've had it in long layers just to get some movement.

I had the Helmethead when I was like 10. I think most kids did then.

And I had a jerk of a stylist who tried to give me a mullet when I specifically said not to. Had to walk out mid cut because she wouldn't listen to me. (Yes, I paid)

Age 5 was rough.  Had helmet head, then my grandmother gave me a literal bowl cut: placed a bowl on my head and cut around it

FTFA: 5 The Pompadour (Quiff)
... One research study showed that women selected the quiff as one of the sexiest men's hairstyles. (Of 2,000 females surveyed, 28 percent said they'd swipe right on a man sporting a quiff.)

Hmm. Now seems like a good time to experiment.

My hair defies gravity, without assistance.  It's done so for well over 40 years, so don't tell me I was fashion forward in the 70s with my lion mane.  I won't post pics, but disco era me, with platform shoes and big hair, was probably a foot and a half taller than I am today.

When I was about 7 or 8 I wore my hair is a 'butch', meaning a short buzz cut on the skull with it longer in the very front, held straight up by butch wax (a real brand of soft, sticky, sweet smelling, pale pink soft goo) called 'Butch Wax'. You bought it at your barber's or the pharmacy.

Never wore any of the other cuts. I usually parted my hair on the side though I did use Brilcream for a bit and a little daub will do ya. Used to use hair oil also. Shook some of the stuff in your palm and worked it through your hair, then combed it. Used to always carry a comb in my back pocket. One of those with coarse teeth on one end and fine on the other.

Guilty of the bowl cut, the mullet, and liberty spikes. One day I came home with a shirt, tie, and a GQ and my mom didn't recognize me

That is where the heroin went.

Never had any of the styles in TFA, but I have been in bed with some mall hair.

Some of those aren't so bad. The Karen and the Klute work on some women. It depends on the face shape and chin.

We ought to be seeing the Bowl cut coming back with barbershops closed for so long.

Back in the 90s when i had hair i had all kinds of haircuts. Pompadour, mohawk, mullet, slicked back greaser style, had it undercut.

Now I just think about having hair because it's gone man.

I may have had a mullet very briefly close to 30 years ago (which may have been immortalized in my driver's license picture). At least I never had a stupid rattail like a a certain friend of mine did.

In high school, I wanted long wild rocker hair, but my hair was so blond and fine, and I lived under my parent's roof, so the best I could manage was kind of a half sad Tom Petty, albeit in a natural platinum blond.

These days, the best I can manage is kind of a male pattern baldness, where the hair at the top of the fringe grows fastest, resulting in a comical gray Bozo if I let it grow out.  I've had a bad hair life.

I've been begging all my bald spot friends to grow out mullets, they'd look like rocker versions of Friar Tuck.

No takers yet but I'm not going to give up - brown robe and a full sized staff and they'd look bad-ass as fark.

Sad to say, but I believe I invented the mullet in 1978. The proof is in my high school yearbook pic.

I guessing it is a Lymph Node.   She was probably fighting a pretty serious infection OR Cancer was coming to get her if she didn't take care of it herself first.

Don't ignore lumps folks.   Pete Puma shoulda told ya

I have sort of a helmullet right now due to Covid. And I've developed something of a Stockholm syndrome about it. A weird confidence based entirely on the I don't give a f*ck ridiculousness of my hair.

yes.  I rocked a mullet back in the day and the ladies loved it.  circa 1990

Going bald, so hair cuts for me are "#2 on anything you can see - head, beard, whatever"

Unfortunately when it gets "long" (ie, 2 months w/o a buzz) I start getting curls up on the sides and so I can either look like the PHB from Dilbert or if it gets long enough and I were to dye it then Bozo/Krusty

Graduated HS and went to college in the 80s. Of course I had a mullet.

Brofist.

70s bowl cut as a kid, then feathered, then long (down to my belt), then a mullet, then a greaser (all in high school), then a "standard" cut as my once glorious hair betrayed me in college, now shaved weekly.

I'm very close to skullet or combover territory. Haven't decided what way to go when it finally all goes.

The skullet is high on my list, my old lady told me she would shave it when i slept. I made it clear she would awaken bald if she ever pulled that stunt.

I like mall hair and Susanna Hoffs rocked it.  But they left out the most important cut of all. The cultural appropriation cut.
