Y'all know the moment Biden gets elected, Project Lincoln will turn their guns on him, right?

How many times must they murder the same man?

That's okay. We should want full-spectrum support to drown out Trump's lies and get him out of office, not lockstep support of a sitting President.

That's fine.  Biden will be in by then, and Trump will be out, that's the only thing that really matters at this point.  If the Lincoln Project turns on him after the fact, I doubt Joe will be particularly fazed.  He's already dealt with far worse.

Fark the cynicism, that literally brought a tear to my eye.

Either way, I think the dissolve after the 2020 election and go back to campaign consulting. They have made an even bigger name for themselves than they already had and can command top dollar.

Then again, Project Lincoln is a super PAC. They aren't pulling in that much right now, but that can change with a single donor that wants to push a cause. These guys have always been guns for hire.

until  you murder me and quit torturing me. dead men don't torture me. only living men do and he is alive to torture me because if he were dead he would be doing MORE than he is now.

Unfortunately, they're a necessary evil.

FWIW, they know how to attack Trump unlike liberals - they go directly for his id.

Trump and R's generally don't mind being called racists or sexists, in fact, they get a hate boner from it. Put the adjectives cowardly or soft in front, and they'll be rattled. The cardinal sin of the Republican Party is the appearance of being weak - once that happens, they are done with you.

Consider then as "co-belligerents". Not friends and not even allies.

The best example I can give for them are those "very special" Saturday morning cartoons which the heroes AND villains team up against the SUPER villains.

You don't think the moment Biden gets elected, he won't turn his guns on the American people and move back to banks first and DNC policy second (US citzenry don't rate the list).

I'm all against Trump, but I knew that when I worked for Obama.  I just didn't expect him to cave on the Bush taxes in under a year.

It's a republic.  You don't get exactly the candidate you want (who would only appeal to a tiny sliver of the electorate).  You get somebody who can appeal to 50%+ of the electorate, especially in the swing states.

Can't be overstated. Democrats often tend to fail by harping on the same handful of appeals to values, shaming attempts based on those, and similar, and then can't understand why it doesn't make an impact on a group that doesn't hold or prioritize those values. The most successful approach here is going to be a temporary alliance of necessity with groups that are already experts at messaging aimed at Republicans.

I thought that was brilliant. Two Republicans and one Democrat handling a crisis. That won't go unnoticed.

Trump's push to reopen has been "hurting" the stock market. Which is an inanimate thing that can't feel pain anyways despite what the hypersensitive males will tell you.

Good ad. Only change I would have made would be the addition of Trump's inspirational "I don't take responsibility at all" quote.

If you can't respectfully disagree with the President, in order to ensure that any policy decision is fully vetted, intelligently designed, and appropriately implemented, then you don't have a President, you have a dictatorship.

The current President is a dictator trying to shrug off the Constitution in order to wield, without accountability or remorse, the most dangerously powerful Executive Power the world has ever known.
Any candidate who is not a more power-hungry demagogue is a step in the right direction. And frankly, it's hard to imagine a more deranged personality.

you better believe it. they are sacrificing one election cycle to salvage 'republican' from 'trump'. This is damage control to save their party and nothing more. I did donate 25 bucks to them just cuz I want to feel like I'm a part of trashing trump. It gives me immense satisfaction. But they don't get another dime from me.

every one of these lincoln project threads is a circle jerk of moderate dem sycophants. those ads will change nothing, and they aren't even particularly scathing.

but hey, the important thing is that a republican super pac is making money.

That was genuinely powerful. It's ironic that the best pro-Biden ad I've seen so far in the campaign is from a Republican PAC. Democrats need to step it up, too.

Also acceptable: When the United States and Russia teamed up to defeat the Nazis.
The analogy is verified when you consider that, a couple months after V-E Day, and despite being nuked twice, the Japanese Empire was willing to surrender to just the United States, in order to avoid having to surrender to Russia, and the perceived devastation that would likely result.
The realities of East Germany, Poland, Czechoslovakia, and North Korea, compared to their experience since, are pretty decent vindication for their decision. It was far from a Utopia, but it was certainly better than living behind the Iron Curtain.*

* This isn't to excuse the sin of nuking them twice. It just means that they are likely better off allied with a country that is willing to acknowledge the wrong and work to correct it, than a country that actively ignores and hides the reality and forces people suffer hardship and indignity under pain of death. That said, if we're not always working to be better, we will gradually build a government just as corrupt and evil as Stalin's USSR.

You aren't the target of the ad. These ads are aimed toward the center/center-right.

Meanwhile I'm a Russian agent who is weakening the democratic nomination because Biden is a conservative in liberal clothing. Just like Obama was.

Always said it year after year: Republicans (ironically enough) have the blueprint for Democrats to attack them and their policies in a way that hits where it hurts.

Even Biden's doing it and Trump is pissed that he's getting hit from all sides.

Ohhhh just wait until he gets in the office, they'll wish he was that compassionate.
