crzybtch: I never understand people who put a nocturnal animal under bright lights.  Dim the room a bit first.  And don't try to pet a wild animal, they don't want you to touch them.

That being said, I am glad that the bat will make it.

I follow this 'Batzilla the Bat' rescue site on youtube.   Those flying fox bats of Australia do not use echolocation (unlike smaller bats) so they are more active in dawn and dusk than purely nocturnal bats.  If you watch some of their daytime release videos, those bats have no problem flying back to the local colony when the let them go after they're well.
