He's laying the groundwork for a voter fraud case for when he comprehensively loses in November.  It'll fail spectacularly, like everything he does, but that's not going to stop him from spewing the propaganda like a firehose.  His future, his legacy (such as he sees it anyway), even the future of the GOP itself kind of depends on it at this point.

Yep, that's why he's attacking the postal service all the time - To undermine public confidence in it.  "If they can't even deliver the mail, how can we trust them with our ballots?"

At some point in my lifetime, the Republican party came to the belief that only Republicans are fit to govern, and that Democrats are a danger to the people and the country. And once they internalized that belief, absolutely anything to win elections, even if they couldn't win votes, became acceptable.

I'm a bit worried about what he'll rile up his supporters to do. It could get pretty ugly.

It will get ugly. He's been cultivating and riling up the hardest of the hardcore of his base for four years now.  They have only cleaved more closely to him in all that time to the point where he is literally a god to some of them, and certainly the voice of god to more of them. If (no, when) he loses in November, some of them are going to absolutely lose every last corn-studded piece of their shiat.  Most of them will just scream into the void, "VOTER FRAUD!  BALLOT HARVESTING! HACKING! RUSSIANS HELPED BIDEN!" ad nauseum.  But I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if a few of them took things a bit further.

All we can do is hope it isn't that bad.

At this point, I worry that we're going to have a lot of armed Trumpers show up for those that have to vote in-person to threaten them.  And a lot of LEO's willing to let them do it.

Wouldn't it be fun if the UN chose to send in election observers? You know, like in other countries where demockery democracy is threatened....

Oh good... now I know when to stop talking to someone when I hear the phrase "ballot harvesting".
As well, it occurs to me that I can easily troll and trigger the red hat rebels with the term... "Wow, Biden is really going to kick ass with all that ballot harvesting technology the liberals came up with".

And once again, the grim logic of the iterated prisoner's dilemma took hold.

Until they change tactics, the only thing we can do is punish them.  Modified tit-for-tat is optimal, everything else is foolishness.

"In response to TPM's inquiry about the claim, the RNC suggested that its qualms were with plans to send ballots to inactive voters and pointed to Democratic litigation in Nevada that resulted in ballots going to inactive registered voters in Clark County"

If I'm reading this correctly, and I think that I am, they're taking issue with US citizens who are legally allowed to vote being sent ballots?

You actually live in China, right?

It's true that in China, they don't have to worry about the other party harvesting ballots and influencing voters, because everybody belongs to the same party.  And really, who knows or cares how the votes are counted - it always gets you the right result!

Just a side question - tad off-topic - how much does the CCP pay you guys to post on these forums really early in the morning? If I got you wrong and you are living in the U.S, my bad - no insult intended.

The correct word here is "Lies." Not "Falsehoods." Yeah, I know they're the same thing, but "lies" is extremely clear. "Falsehoods" softens it, implying that the people using the "falsehoods" aren't quite responsible, they're just repeating what they've heard.

Just use the word "lies" when you're talking about these assholes.

So what if I'm lazy. The lazy should be allowed to vote. Hell, I think the lazy must demand to be able to vote by mail. My application has been sitting on my desk for weeks. I finally filled it out today. I'll eventually bring it downtown...or mail it in. I'm not sure. I don't have the address. Who knows. I'm lazy. The Lazy American is a thing.

Bevin (mini-Trump) is a taste of what the GOP leadership will do when Trump loses and tries to contest the election: hang him out to try.

The rural folk are all bark and no bite, they'll just start complaining again.

The QAnon followers and Neo-Nazis are the only ones I'm really worried about, they have substantial parts of their personal identity wrapped up in Trump being their saviour.

It's BECAUSE they're so pathetic that they feel the need to believe that their skin color makes them superior. They have nothing else.

I'm pretty jaded about this sort of thing, but I really want to believe it wouldn't be allowed to reach that point.  Having armed militia-types with MAGA hats outside polling stations?  A strong case could be made for voter intimidation there, and that would work against Trump, not for him.

Yup.  Trump cannot leave office.  It is the ONLY thing protecting him and his family from certain law enforcement officials speaking with them.  Once this is accepted as fact, a lot of his actions make sense.
