To be clear: Trump is admitting to killing Americans on purpose.

So you are trying to wish it away?

Message to Trump supporters and especially those officially working on his campaign:

He does not give to shiats about you, and would throw you on the street if he felt he needed to protect himself.  You are working for a deranged lunatic with mental disease.  The longer you work for him, the more likely you will suffer the consequences, and you will be labeled as someone who gave us the shiat-show that we have.

Just saying.

He really doesn't kid, because he has nothing that resembles a sense of humor.

He just bangs them. (allegedly)

Trump is killing Americans, eroding national security, AND harming the economy by not testing. To distract from it all, he's trying to start a race war.

Trump is a tyrant!
He's a clear and present danger!

The news needs to hammer on the link between lack of testing and rich people refusing to shop because they don't know where the virus is.

2020-06-23 11:19:30 AM
he should be in jail.

To be fair I don't give two wet shiats about them either.

Rich people are still shopping.  Yacht sales are up 40% during the pandemic.  They can afford proxies to act on their behalf.

The issue is that without universal testing, both for the virus, and antibodies, NO ONE knows when it's safe to go back out and resume somewhat normal behaviors, or work in environments where social distancing isn't possible.

We've pissed away trillions just to prop up a sputtering economy, when a small fraction of that would have paid for universal testing, contact tracing, and other mitigation techniques.

It's the old "ounce of prevention vs pound of cure" thing..

After all the smarmy BS yesterday on the network shows it kinda makes Tim Murtaugh look a right fool now doesn't it

You don't kid, Mr. Trump?

So, then, you were serious when you asked Russia to hack Hillary's E-Mails?  And when you asked them for help in the upcoming election?  Those were serious remarks?  Because you don't kid, right?  Were you serious when you told cops in 2016 not to be so gentle with people they pick up?  You must have been, because you don't kid, right?  Or when you made fun of Serge Kovaleski's chronic condition in 2016?  You weren't kidding about mocking him, right?

So in other words, Mr. Trump, you are just the world's biggest, apologetic traitorous asshole.

I mean, we already know that, and have since long before you descended that escalator, but it's nice to have confirmation straight from the Cheeto's mouth.

Think about all the horrible things he has said in the past few years, things that have been explained away as "the president was only joking," and apply his latest statement to them.

It was sarcasm, if you don't know what the word sarcasm means.

Intentionally trying to slow down medical testing during a pandemic because they don't like how the numbers look should be the biggest scandal of any modern president. It's willful and intentional harm.

Should be.

2020-06-23 11:53:33 AM
It's the circle of Trump (some version of this has been passing around for a while):

1) Trump says something horrible/stupid/etc.

2) His staff/right-wing media/magats claim he was kidding/misunderstood/purposefully misconstrued

3) Trump says he meant exactly what he said and was not joking or misunderstood

4) His staff/right-wing media/magats declare they always knew that and fully support what he said

He knows he's untouchable and he figures Biden won't go scorched earth for all the illegal things he did. Or he hopes he can cheat his way to electoral victory.

What else is there to say, he's a c*nt.

Him "joking" is actually the most reasonable interpretation, not that it makes him look much better.

And he can fark with the way the CDC reports the numbers.

I think evidence is increasing that something has changed with Biden over the last two-three months, and he is increasingly likely to "go scorched earth" (as well as moving to the left).

As a long time and continuing critic of Biden, I welcome both.

Wow. Every single person in his administration has been giving him an easy out with the "he was just joking, sheesh" message, because THEY all know exactly how dangerous Covid really is and how stupid a thing it was to say, but he's just like nah fark that I'm doubling down. It would be funny if it didn't cause more people to die.

Nah, but I do remember him busting out some Al Green out the blue, then chuckling an saying - "Those guys said I wouldn't do it".

Man, I miss that guy.

I love the way he throws his supporters and mouthpieces under the bus on a near universal level. This is not sarcasm. Those people earned it. Anyone who will stick up for this miscreant deserves being stabbed in the back by their idol.

As it has been said before, the worst part of the job when taking a position in the Trump administration is that you have to work with people who decided to take a job in the Trump administration.

He's already done it. The feds slow walked testing and defunded testing sites.

No no, he's telling you openly what he did. He thinks it's a good thing.

Where's fernt? I'm sure he'll be able to explain to use why slowing down testing is a good thing, and even if it isn't, liberals want to increase taxes on billionaires, so Trump is still the greatest President of all-time.

'[Coronavirus is] going to disappear. One day it's like a miracle - it will disappear' -- Donald J. Trump, February 10, 2020

The first verified U.S. death from SARS-CoV-2 would occur 19 days later. The current death toll four months after that would approach 120,000. The 2020 pandemic is now the fourth deadliest event in U.S. history.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that you had to go to the CDC to get tests approved and (maybe) getting approval for certain labs to do those tests. Short of revoking approval, I'm not sure what the CDC could do to stop lower-level governments and private labs who already have approval and access to the tests to continue testing. I'm no expert, so it's certainly possible I'm missing a step in the process where he could interfere.

As for the numbers, the CDC could certainly fudge the numbers, but it seems like too much independent data is floating around for that to have much effect.

There's 14 billion that was allocated for testing by congress, Trump has been throttling it.
