Surely The Clowns has to be Fark's favorite band.

Before clicking I thought this would be about Rock and Rule, and wondered whether the headline meant Iggy Pop, Debbie Harry, or Cheap Trick.

Loved that movie. Too bad it was a flop. And that the original Canadian print got burned up in a fire.

/This one talks in numbers.

There's a restoration that's pretty good that got a dvd release, and someone spliced a 'complete' cut of the canadian and american versions but you probably knew that.  Just in case you didn't, now you do.

I thought Fark's favorite band was Nickleback. They get talked about the most here.

Yep, I thought the link would go to Heavy Metal.

Fark has always loved the work of Journey.  True pioneers of metal.

All this makes me wonder is this: why, in the early 90s, did the same rednecks that embraced the new wave of bro country also love Rush's album "Roll the Bones" so much?

This has baffled me for 30 years.

yakmans_dad: My wife and I met swing dancing, so we had a jump swing band for our wedding. They played a pretty rockin' version of "Don't You Just Know It." The King Comets, if you're interested. Haven't been real active much in the last five years because one of the guys has had some health issues, but they were a heck of a lot of fun for about 15 years whenever they played.

I'm not sure that repurposing a song inspired by Mary Weinrib's nightmarish experiences in Bergen Belsen to serve as the soundtrack of your little sci-fi cartoon is necessarily respectful but what do I know?

Excellent interview. I love the low-key venom he spits at Holocaust deniers at the end.

Why does it happen? Because it happens.

Roll the bones.

I was really hoping it would be The Replacements (and that shiatty cartoon could've used The Mats)

That's not who I thought was Fark's favourite band.
