They're serious.

They honestly believed Trump drinking a glass of water with one hand owned the libs.

I'm not liking this world where supposedly professional people are tweeting out all this childish chit. This woman is expecting to attain a leadership role in the US Congress?! We are doomed. Doomed, I tells ya.

Doesn't she have to be elected first?

2020-06-21 5:45:40 AM

Nidiot: That's it. Everyone needs to do a youtube video, or tic tok, or whatever, of themselves drinking a glass of water with one hand. Every instawhore, influencer and celebrity from the a-list to the z-list should do this. Flood media with clips of people drinking water from a glass using one hand. Because apparently Trumpers think this is a special ability only a true POTUS can do, as opposed to it being an act so simple that you should be embarrassed when your President can't do it.

Oh god this.

Tell the Tik Tok kids and the weight of shame will penetrate even unto the White House.

You know what would truly "OWN teh Libs"?

Actually investigate this Administration, and not firing anyone that looks at it crosseyed. Yeah, that would show them. Actually following the law, instead of looking to circumvent it at every turn, will totes OWNS them. Maybe even look at Congress' own insider profiteering if you want to twist that knife in those heathens' guts a little.

This? This is just...pathetic. Cripes, the man is turning a mug ass-backward even to drink "one handed." It is obvious that he has some issues with his hands. He's in his 70s. Sh*t happens. The issue is when the President denies that he having difficulties and is growing more and more feeble. And making Double Speak excuses for that increasing fragility, both of body and of spirit...that's dangerous for the nation. For your kids. For mine.

I'm in hospital, nothing serious, and in Denmark, so everything is free.

Anyway, when I drink glasses full of coke whilst in bed, it goes every where!

I won't use a straw unless the nurses  cheer at me  :/

Your post made me search for Danish nurses and kind of took me down a rabbit hole.  Thanks for that.

It's not a question of "can he EVER drink with one hand".  It's a question of "why does he use 2 hands AT ALL?"

Nidiot: wademh: On occasion, I have trouble holding a glass up and drinking with one hand.

It's related to some spinal problems, degraded disks and pinched nerves. It isn't entirely predictable, it tends to improve if I use my inversion table and stretch out. However, some days lifting my arms and doing things is problematic.

It's quite the indignity. My younger self would probably have told someone like my current self to just end it all. My younger self was actually a robust athlete. Nevertheless, despite the indignity of it all, I'm not afraid to admit to who and what I am.

The thing that bothers me the most about someone like Trump is the denial: the fundamental dishonesty.

Indeed. This is the man who made fun of a journalist with a disability. If Trump didn't hold himself up as being so superior, pretending to be an alpha male, constantly feeding us crap about him being strong and virile and also being so utterly contemptuous of the frailties of others, I wouldn't give a damn. But he deserves to receive a bit of his own medicine. Not that he'll recognise it as such.

Your self worth should not be tied to how you drink a beverage.  Buy a nice straw.  I am sorry that you have this disability, but there are some pretty easily available technologies that can sort you out in terms of drinking water.

If this is the way you are trying to display to the general public of the USA when you are president of same, and you portray you are a robust septuagenarian after multiple instances of showing you are not, well then I think it was heavily rehearsed.

I am not sure that I am tired of this bullshiat, or the bullshiat is tired of me...I grow weary.

I cheer you and Wademh when you drink water, perhaps tea as well ;-), have a coke from time to time.  Buy a nice straw, and own it along with your ability to use technology to overcome your disability.  It's not a smart phone but it is something we have figured out.

The issue with trump is, as has been said, that he denies his short comings.  I do not take issue with that until it is the leader of my country that takes that position.

So, I'm not sure.

She's an attention whore.
Pelosi would never face a serious challenge from the right, so any Republican who runs against her is just grifting.
In Deanna's case, she sells books and "relationship advice."

Who would take relationship advice from a Trumper?  Three marriages and multiple mistresses? Dodging STDs? Paying off porn starlets? Clearly they've got healthy relationships all figured out.

That truly was an emperor's new clothes moment. If Twain had written satire of a future president holding that rally in the midst of this pandemic to explain that he could conquer a ramp and drink water and then be robustly cheered by doe eyed morons for sipping water it would have been funny.

The whole thing was a farking trip because all of that was arranged so we could watch the fundamentally broken mind of the leader of the nation. Cheered for sipping water while Rome burns. The entire event en toto was one of the saddest spectacles America has ever had to endure.

Hey MAGAts, you do know now that Bunker B*tch, your president, has (barely) pulled off this stupid stunt without spilling water all over his thrift store novelty oversized suit that he will have to manage this every single time he takes a drink of anything in public ever again, right? That the next time he sippy cups a bottle or uses both of his tiny baby hands to awkwardly hold a diet coke while his puckered anus lips search desperately for the straw that everyone will see this for what it was, a frail and narcissistic old fool putting his fullest effort into hiding his frailty and only barely managing it without further embarrassment? You realize this, yes?

Corn_Fed: Notice he can't empty the glass. THAT'S the issue, not that he can't take a quick sip. He needs the other hand to push the bottom up, if he wants to drain the glass.

This is the comment I was looking for. He can't get his arm up. That's why he threw the cup aside after a couple sips. I'm not sure he even got any on the last sip.T

Take a sip, toss the cup aside for some peon to have to clean up. Somehow this seems like a good metaphor for the Trump way.

Looks like someone was out sick the day they learned about twenty.

When one of my kids was learning to count, he'd go "eighteen, nineteen, tenteen." It's cute on a kid, years later they still do it as a joke. It's not such a good look on a grown-ass adult.

Can he drink from a glass while walking downhill and wearing a MAGA hat?

I'll believe it when I see it.  And can Biden recite the first three lines of the Gettysburg address without a teleprompter, mistake-free?

Save the critique for the debates.

Yesterday he tweeted he didn't suffer from Parkinson's.

Unless he is Andy Kaufman, he has the right age, then no.

So, I'm not the only one half expecting Trump to peel off the Scooby-Doo mask on the last day of his presidency and reveal that he's been Andy Kaufman all along?

It's not just the dishonesty. It's also the hypocrisy. He not only has obvious physical problems that he won't admit to, he's unspeakably cruel towards what he deems weakness in the average person, let alone one with any sort of legitimate illness, special needs, etc (forgive me, I'm trying to put that respectfully and sensitively). If he wasn't such an a*hole, and he admitted that he has physical problems without blowing them off or trying to blame them on something/someone else, I would hope that no one would be mocking him. However, he just opens himself up to it and makes it so easy.

Here's the "presidential" behavior I was to see: When he loses the election, he makes a polite concession speech, cooperates with Biden on the transition, and leaves in an orderly fashion.

Yeah, that's like expecting to find the Easter Bunny in your living room on Christmas Eve because Santa is under the weather.

2020-06-21 10:50:26 AM

Ken S.: Is it just me or has the right lowered their standards for what impresses them in a President? I mean I can't remember the last time someone who isn't a toddler drinking a glass of water one handed merited a standing ovation.

From what I understand, he's woken up with a dry pull-up two nights in a row now.
