Smuggling marijuana from a country where it is legal to a US state where it is legal.

That's a special kind of dedication I guess.

2020-06-08 12:42:32 PM
Why though? It's legal on both sides of the river.

2020-06-08 1:10:04 PM
That's the way she goes, boys.

But enough about my ex.

Indigenous folks used to craft their canoes out of birch logs. This fellow just updated his using a readily-available sourced material. Geesh, it's an organic renewable product! Get off his back!

Have to admire that Cana-do spirit.

But not legal to cross the border with it in that amount in either direction.

He probably started with 300 lbs.  Dude you cannot smoke that much in one session.  Know your limits!

He re-emerged on June 5 when Border Patrol agents pursuing a boat discovered Mousseau in the river with packages of marijuana tethered to him.

"In the event of an emergency water evacuation , your bales of marijuana may be used as a flotation device."

But why not just sell it in Canada? American dollars are only worth 25 cents more than Canadian right now, it doesn't seem worth it. Epecially swimming through the Detroit river, yuck.

Why would a Canadian weigh his dope by the pound instead of kilogram? Yet another failure due to improper conversion...

Because street weed is still 1/3 the cost of legal weed.

We do weigh people in pounds and ounces, though. If he was legally married to the marijuana instead of cohabiting (very old-fashioned, but it happens), then it checks out.

If I was going to get caught with 265 lbs of weed, I'd rather get caught in Canada than the US, but I wasn't defending his harebrained scheme.

Dude clearly wasn't thinking this all the way through, shockingly.

Some people will do anything to make their product unique!!  Look I just want some okay weed I dont need this elite....submerged with a body frill so you can price hike!!

There is a surplus of weed in Canada and the US still has a huge black market.

This is about the drug smuggling sub recently seized in the Detroit River.

Really curious what this sub looks like.

Things could always be worse.

You could be teathered to 265 pounds of Donald Trump.

But to be honest, if you were, I would forgive you for being unconscious and in the Detroit River.

I hear the Bay of Mexico is full of Red Chinese in mini-subs. No, seriously. Google it.

Now a cartoon on Netflix. Haven't seen it, but they seem like a very likely bunch of Toons.

1.  Well, I for one am sure glad that this dangerous criminal is off the streets.

2.  Why can't the cops stop bothering stoners and try to solve murders and rapes instead?

3.  This wouldn't happen if cannabis were legal and if the trade in it were above board.

Am I doing it right yet?

I don't doubt someone is spouting that. But yeah, I think I've had my fill of ridiculous conspiracy theories in the past 3 years.  I'm good.

This is probably why BC limits you to 30 grams per visit
