A decade ago Huckabee was supposed to be the principled one.  Cheap veneers wear off

Doesn't Trump have an 80% approval rating among Republicans?

2020-06-08 11:25:53 AM
Just possibly, some people vote with the country  in mind rather than their party.

born_yesterday: Jack Sabbath: None of his trademark "comedy" this time?

So basically, party over country.  In 1940s Germany, Huckabee would've supported Hitler full-throatedly.

Yeah, 1940s "Germany".

Aim lower.

Italy, then.

If Trump was popular enough to get reelected, they would still be singing his praises.

Graffito: Paddy: maldinero: Epic Fap Session: Pro-life? Trump's paid for more abortions than MGM studios.

Also gotta wonder how many Huckabee has paid for

These freaks aren't pro-life. It's all lip service for some votes.

Not only are they not pro-life, they aren't even anti-abortion.  If they were they would work toward making abortion all but unnecessary.  They would study the reasons why women choose abortion and work toward alleviating those reasons.  However that would require respecting women, listening to women and treating them as if their lives mattered.

There is a theory that postulates that Republicans write anti-abortion legislation that is so heinous the courts strike them down. Then Republicans can say, "We tried. Help us pack the courts with people who will permit these laws become reality".

Yes/no, maybe?

What's the difference between God and Trump?

God doesn't think he's Trump.

"One of the few Republican men," my ass.

The RNC voted unanimously to back Trump. Trump has the GOP's full support.

You're watching Republicans trying to get re-elected, not Republicans trying to prevent Trump's re-election. This is what it looks like when politicians try to get some distance between themselves and the shiatstain in the White House, and when other politicians fear that those politicians are tanking their own attempts to get re-elected by clinging closer to the shiatstain in the White House.

They're paddling as hard as they can to survive the maelstrom of Trump's failure. Some are trying to paddle out to calmer water; others are paddling inward hoping to slingshot themselves out. A few believe that they can weather it.

It's our job to ensure that they all farking drown.

Catlenfell: If Trump was popular enough to get them reelected, they would still be singing his praises.

FTFY. They're not worried about Trump; they're worried about themselves. They know, full well, that they're now the Bizarro Camelot - Trump and the GOP are one, Trump thinks he's the Chosen One, with the GOP crowded around his Round Table - and that Trump's taking them to Hell.

FTA: he's getting the job done

He's getting some things done. Others, he's not doing so well, but pretending he is. There's probably some traditional parts of the "job" of the Presidency that he isn't even pretending to do. And there's some things he's doing that he's pretending he isn't.

So, it would be nice to get an interview which gets Huckabee to nail down whether he thinks President Trump is doing various things, and whether Huckabee would consider doing those things good, and how important Huckabee would consider doing those things.

Clearly, Huckabee considers being anti-abortion,pro-Israel, and decreasing government regulation good and important. However, it would be nice to ask him about racism and the pandemic.

FTA: done more for minorities than any president in my lifetime in actually helping people to have good, decent jobs and a future

This might make more sense if one considers the possibility that Huckabee views "minorities" and "people" to be non-intersecting categories.

Please get it right.  96% approval rating according to his 6/6 tweet

Mike Huckabee is the patriarch of a family of loathsome Fake Christians. What more do you need to know other than he was the only Republican to stand by the Duggar family after it came out that they covered up their son's repeated offenses of child molestation? I mean, apart from the fact that he doesn't understand why people are cutting bait with Trump after he tear-gassed peaceful protesters so he could walk two blocks down the street to stand in front of church he does not attend, for a photo op of him holding a bible upside down.

Fark Mike Huckabee.

Tomorrow's headline:  why won't republicans stand up to Trump?!?!?

The irony when he said Trump was pro-life was so thick I am surprised that Huckster didn't suffocate.

Is it still only 96%?  He's had a habit of ticking the number up by 1 every time he tweets his popularity among the GOP.  I thought for sure he'd say 97 this time.

GrizzlyPouch: Tomorrow's headline:  why won't republicans stand up to Trump?!?!?

This article is an example of how most Republican leaders are still utter sycophants refusing to take a criminally unfit president accountable. How does your "tomorrow's headline" quip contradict that?

You're a Republican, right? Are you standing up to Trump?

2020-06-08 12:40:11 PM
All the other nonsense aside... How, after the last few months, can you say that Trump's personality doesn't matter? He is temperamentally incapable of leading the country through any sort of crisis.

Percise1: "Here's what I just don't understand with these never-Trumpers."
"This president is more pro-life than we've ever had, period," he said. "He's more pro-Israel. He has deregulated so much government so that the businesses of America can thrive and they have until this COVID stuff happened."

Maybe because most never-trumpers aren't religious farknuts, are pro-choice, are tired of coddling Israel with their attempted genocide, recognize that a society needs a government and regulations to function for the good of all and not just for a select few to get rich from.
Then there is the fact that trump is a craven, incompetent, idiotic criminal...
What part of that do you not understand Mikey? All the parts that differ from your selfish, privileged world view?

Let's be a bit forgiving of the man. Of course he's slow on the uptake, he's a freakin' bass player.

Epic Fap Session: Pro-life? Trump's paid for more abortions than MGM studios.

Rich people will always be able to get abortions. Republicans don't want "them" to get abortions, and Trump's been very helpful with that.

/or are we suddenly pretending like his two SC picks don't matter?
