Because children of all races, colors, and creeds should be able to make gadgets for slave wages without fear of discrimination.

Yawn, Another rich white guy tries to act like they know discrimination.

Of course they know it. They're the discriminators.

Brick all your devices in the White House and DOJ. Otherwise, it's just another empty corporate gesture.

I work for the company and here is my take.

While I might not like everything thing it does but.

1.Apple pays for the legal defense of about 600 DACA latinos who work for us.
2.My team of 20 people is mostly black and latino.
3.Of the 6 bosses I have had 4 have been women and only 2 men.
4.Paid time off for corona virus
5.Paid 100% employees who cannot go to work in stores or moved to work from home.

A coworker of mine appendix exploded on his first day of work. Only worked 2 hours.

He was rushed to the hospital.

Two weeks later he got a check. He called in and said "I only worked two hours." And he was told he was an official Apple employee and he qualified for 60% of  the pay in his offer letter for the three month recovery they gave him.

He came back, they stuck him in another training class and even later paid for his Transition from Russ to Emma.

I was at Apple six months when my father was given a few weeks to live.  I called and told them I would need unpaid leave or I was gonna gave to quit.  My boss called me a half hour later and told me to take 30 days 100 percent pay and when he passed they gave me another 7 days of bereavement and said I could take another 30 without pay if I needed it.

When my mother was evicted from her house due to some Wells Fargo bullshiat my area manager was informed and messaged me from a meeting with Tim Cook and told me to take two weeks off and get her moved.

That's great and all, but did they upgrade the suicide nets in their factories to extra-soft?
