Totally no surprise that a spot named after Henry VIII was so called because he allegedly waited there to see if his wife's head had been chopped off yet, so that he could go marry someone else.

Maybe someday that one hospital ward will be called "Newt Gingrich's Annex."

I just started the 4th season of The Tudors. It's a pretty great show. Lots of sex. And beheadings.

Rhese-Meyer's version of Henry's final address to parliament is farking fantastic.  It's the best thing on that show that is not attached to Natalie Dormer.

I still don't get why games don't have historically accurate, giant metal codpieces in male armor. And yet females have boob armor that would get the wearers killed. Chestplates bulge to deflect upward thrusts away from the unprotected throats. Boob armor guides them right into the throats. (Giggity)

Not only that but the bulge is also there so that the force of impacts is diverted away from the ribcage. Boob armor creates a focal point for that force right along the center of the ribcage. An even somewhat decent blow would result in multiple broken ribs.

My point is that I want to be able to joust with my character's codpiece.

King Henry VIII's mound? Way too late for that, eh, seeing as he died with syph. Sorry if this is a spoiler to TV fans of The Tudors.

I believe the proper nomenclature is "moose knuckle".

Ive been on a historical based series binge lately and watched Medicis, Borgia (the one on Netflix) and Rome.  I enjoyed all of them.  So Tudors is worth checking out?

You can stand right on his tombstone set in the floor at the chapel in Windsor Castle. I did so happily and said "up yours, you misogynistic bastard". Felt good.
