He did, on Saturday about Mr.Floyd's death. Not since that I saw, though.
Here's the text of what all of them had to say, beginning with Trump, unfortunately. Just scroll past it, I did.

Just goes to show deep the Deep State(tm) really is.  Every former President is a member, trying to tear down our glorious leader Trump, he who leads us through the valley of Clorox so we may fear no COVID and who casts down righteous fury and tear gas upon the hordes of violent rioters out to steal your white women.

/This is rather less unhinged than some of the MAGAt rhetoric I've heard lately.

It is getting that way. Now George Floyd has tested positive for covid in April and that weakened his lungs therefore he died of complications of said virus. That along with the heart condition and Fenatyl and who knows what else. I think with this arc it will be an Acme anvil did it rather than a cop.

They were all up with third degree but now that it is second and he faces a much bigger penalty the cop is the good guy again.

It changes so fast.

It's too bad the evangelicals will never forgive Jimmy Carter for the sin of practicing the true teachings of Jesus Christ instead of just paying lip service and being a hypocrite who does the polar opposite of Jesus. Maybe they could see the evil in their hearts for what it is and stand up against injustice and inequality instead of exacerbating it.

Yeah, if his lungs were weakened, then they would be scarred. That would be an obvious landmark to just glance over.

As a Non~Theist I always find it odd that there are so very few actual christians out in the world. Actions speak louder than words and President Carter has always acted like a christian, even when no one was looking. There's Mr. Rogers too, I'm sure there are a couple of others out in the world but I can't think of who they would be.

When Carter put a portrait of Martin Luther King Jr. in the Georgia state capitol building in 1974, the KKK was outside protesting and calling for him to be killed. Carter went out on the front steps and called them "disgusting" to their faces. Not sure any of our other living Presidents have ever faced down someone calling for their deaths like that. Carter has always been a badass. A very polite, very dignified badass.

And let's all be fair, pretty much every President from the last 50 years, if we could bring them back from the dead, would be horrified by this lump of failure living in the White House right now.

Even Nixon would be screaming that you don't pull that shiat in public, that's not how this works.

He's a great man.  I mean that, Great.  Much better person than you or I could ever be.
I'm not a Christian, but that man is an embodiment of what it means to be a Christian, which is something I think we all should aspire to, regardless of any imaginary divine injunction to do so.
Retire from politics and then build houses for the poor?  That's living the philosophy, man.  I'm not doing that, and neither are you, and we both should be ashamed by his example.  At 95 years old he should be relaxing, but he's still swinging a hammer.  Goddamn, we are not worthy.

Here, I'll provide a translation for our more moronic (i.e. trump voters) friends:  you are filth and deserve to be hung for treason because you are so f*cking vile you voted for a sack of shiat like trump.  In fact, there is nothing you can do to make up for the fact you are evil filth, so just kill yourselves.

Amen.

1975: the religious right didn't exist yet, the conservative hadn't switched yet from anti-integration to anti-abortion.
1977: the religious right still didn't exist, but Carter is a target for being soft and weak, not like a real cowboy movie star...
1979: Reagan, the manly man with a brain of concrete and the ability to read scripts from republican scumbags like Pat Buchanan.

Reagan's whole purpose was to restore respectability to the conservative/Republican ideal, to be the brute force personality that showed America was a tough-as-shiat nation that would kick your ass if you looked cross wise at a treaty.  The Republicans were so humiliated by Nixon that they had to come up with a tough guy persona, like if you kick a bully's ass on the playground he acts even more bully until he crawls away to cushion his nuts.

Remember, Carter promoted recycling and renewable energy.  Reagan had the solar panels taken off the White House because... who knows.

I think if I ever met him I would just weep. Out of shame for what we did to the country he sincerely tried to help. I feel like we owe it to him to make this country better. It's the least we can do.

Agreed.  We don't have saints in America, but he would be a candidate, for sure.  I was 10 when Carter was elected president, and I loved that he was a nuclear tech and maybe loved some science.  He did!

The technicolor Reagan didn't like science, and it all went to hell.  That's when the super-jingoism started, as well as the super religious bullshiat.  It's gotten worse.

Also, their messages sometimes get. Well.

Blocked from airwaves.

Google "UCC banned ads" and look at the videos of some advertisements for the UCC that were banned for being 'too controversial' (because they.. showed that the UCC was an open and affirming church, I guess).

Were you old enough to vote for him for re-election in 1980? I was. That was the year the U.S. really began sliding downhill, over all.

Because it's amazing how so many people who praise Carter for his humanity and statesmanship NOW actually voted for that clown Reagan back then. Reagan enabled Bush the 1st. Who enabled Bush the 2nd. And now Trump. Three first-rate Democratic presidents, from Carter to Obama, and three absolutely hideous Republican failures. And yet people still keep voting Republican.
