Nice!
We need Anonymous and WikiLeaks, as much as they can be a 2 edged sword. Who is watching the Watchmen? They are.

The other edge of the sword is they will stop collecting numbers that may make them look bad.  See the data collected by police about gun related deaths.

I saw it. The show and book were better.

Next up : we need excess death data from ALL STATES.

Hopefully nursing homes will be on the ball enough to make sure not to let anyone that's been going to the protests/riots work for a couple weeks.

They could, i dunno, try not killing people all willy-nilly.

88 deaths?  Pfft.  NY had 5,000 -10,000 in nursing homes alone.

That would mean the homes would be care taken by mostly conservatives...

So, where's the data?

'cause I found an NPR story that claimed it would be posted, but not until later this week.

One out of four nursing homes had at least one case; one out of five had at least one COVID-related death.

Jesus fark. 80 percent mortality rate.

Wish that was the case(s) here. Our numbers spiked by about 30 in the last two weeks, 22 of which in a care home that resulted in 3 deaths. And for the longest time my county had the most cases w/o a death. The deaths were traced to two staffers that disobeyed SIP orders for healthcare workers and travelled. One went to Idaho and brought it back and another went to the next county south to visit a jailbird boyfriend that just got an early Covid-19 release. Who also tested positive and disobeyed direct home-confinement orders.

So people are just wantonly ignoring whatever is expected of them snd now three people are dead because of it.

Yeah, but Arizona is one of those states we don't like.

Guessing you're one of those people who thinks the unexplained and substantial increase in deaths from mortar shells is part of some elaborate scheme in which the person who compiles the data put certain numbers in the wrong brackets.

Do not worry, the People's Republic of Florida has ways of dealing with dissidents such as yourself and we can only assume that your post is a confession of your crimes.  Your death by mortar shelling will please Supreme Leader DeSantis and Senior Leader Batboy.

FTA: "Nationally, more than 60,000 COVID-19 cases have been reported among residents in Medicare-certified skilled nursing homes and almost 26,000 have died."

How many of these cases and deaths are accounted for in the numbers being reported by the CDC?

My mother is in assisted living. hey had three residents out of about 120 who contracted COVID, and two passed away. The other recovered.
There were 3 or 4 staff who got it, but no fatalities.
The hard part is, they locked all the residents down in their rooms. No leaving rooms since March. It's brutal, especially on my mother who is frail and the lack of walking around is causing her serious back and leg pain issues. Of course, it beats the alternative, although listening to her sometimes, you might think otherwise

2020-06-02 7:29:55 PM
And this is just the tip of the iceberg, assisted living not included.

100k deaths is a farking joke of a lie.

2020-06-02 7:31:14 PM
It has to do with specific nursing homes data, maybe? The deaths get reported in AZ, its on the dashboard thing, and they do break out confined living numbers, nursing homes, assisted living, prison, etc. So I am a bit confused as to what they wanted exactly.

The one I used to work at would say "Get back to work or you're fired." They do that if you're sick as well.

Scenario 1:
"Have you attended any mass gatherings recently? Your ability to work and earn money depends on your answer."

"Uh ... NO, NO, absolutely not!"

Scenario 2:
"Have you attended any mass gatherings recently? We'll pay you anyway, but whether you have to come in and actually do your crappy job depends on your answer."

"Uh ... YES, YES, I go to protests every day!"

We will never have true, clean numbers on this. Too much money and political energy to ever factually report on the virus. So, play along and spout which reports you choose to believe. It is not the truth.

I'm thinking a couple of options:
a) no, and they were leaking true issues
b) no, but they were making up stuff
c) yes, and they were leaking true issues
d) yes, but they were making up stuff

Which one do you lean more towards?
Asking because if they were leaking actual issues, does it matter who pays the bills if the leaks were actual violations?
If they were making stuff up, then just have them discredited by the truth.

Presuming they logged every case of the disease (which itself, granted, is maybe not true), the disease has an 80 percent mortality rate for senior homes - Is my math off for some reason?

2020-06-02 11:30:03 PM
The article is hard to follow, but is it saying 26,000 is deaths in nursing homes since May 8, excluding assisted living and deaths prior to May 8 unless a facility chose to self report for the earlier period?

I'm still trying to figure out where the 1,648 critical and severe cases in Canada came from all of a sudden. There were 502 for so long I was getting sick of it, and now suddenly, 1,648. This figure has been the one I've been following with most concern because if the ICUs, acute care homes, senior's residences and so forth go, the whole heath care system may go the way of Trump's CARING about poor people and people who are not rich, powerful, ruthless and named Donald or Ivanka.

One clear lesson: the feds don't care. And by the Feds I mean Congress and the White House.

New Rule One:  post-pandemic, somebody has to think of the old people in none Scroogian terms, which is to say "let them die and reduce the surplus population". It won't be bots, proud boys, bros, or incels, you may be sure. There's 50 or 60 years of screwing up to be processed and removed from the stream of toxic politics and toxic culture.

I am not going to dispute your 80% mortality number at this time, just how you came up with it because it's not relevant to these numbers at all.

The first part of the statement is 1 in 4 Nursing Homes had at least one case. Doesn't say how many cases in those particular homes, just more that 1 and that 75% of Nursing Homes have no cases at all.

Second part of the statement is 1 in 5 Nursing Homes had at least 1 death. Doesn't say how many deaths in those particular homes, just more than 1 and 80% of Nursing Homes have no deaths at all.

Here in AZ according to the ADHS COVID-19 Dashboard, 90% of the statewide deaths are 55+, 78% at 65+

I'm no math person, but I think you're reading it wrong? 80% mortality means 4 out of 5 people died from it, or in this case, 4 out of 5 nursing homes had at least 1 death. Which isn't "one out of five".

An 80% mortality rate would not be able to be covered up, no matter how it was spun. That would empty out nursing homes drastically.  Or in capitalist terms, it would mean a lot fewer billable Medicare patients. Those are "closing the business" numbers if that were the case - at the very least, shutting the place down to be sterilized and residents moved elsewhere.

Disclaimer: I didn't RTFA, it's asking me to lower my adblocker, and well, no.

They never started collecting anything really damning in the first place.

Florida nursing homes reported a spike in "pneumonia" deaths fully 5x as large as their reported Covid-19 deaths this year so far.  Coincidence, I'm sure...
