It's just a matter of time before someone releases a vid/audio of some cops laughing about how they are purposely targeting "liberal"/"fake" news crews.  Not that it isn't farking obvious to begin with.

Yes.

They should also put a section below each entry saying something like "Action taken/resolved?" to see if the police chiefs/mayors/etc did anything to punish the cops responsible, or if the cops just got away with it. Spoiler: most of the time they get away with it.

Police have illegally attacked journalists engaged in journalism, EMTs treating the injured, the elderly waiting for the bus, priests on their own church grounds handing out water, bystanders legally sitting on their porch, and of course, protesters lawfully and peacefully protesting. I havent heard of a single case of an officer losing his/her job or being arrested for any of that. At this point, the police are committing more crimes than the looters.

That always got me about TNG. "This is a peaceful exploration ship, w/ families, children." It was also packing more ordinance than almost any other single ship in the entire series. The first episode where they flew the Defiant hung a big, bright lampshade on that shiat.

Think that was more or less the reason people are protesting.

The fact the cops are worse than the criminals they arrest.

2 are a start and that's good. But just for that photo op in front of the church where they assaulted dozens of peaceful protesters and deployed tear gas against priests on their own church grounds involved dozens of criminals hiding behind badges committing crimes. None of them will face justice. There were many more who were the leadership that authorized it. None of them will face justice.

The police are proving the protesters' point better than the protesters themselves.

I'm glad to see in that one incident in Atlanta that offending officers were arrested. Hopefully it will be more. I haven't heard a single officer arrested in DC, a single one arrested in Minnesota.

The chief in Kentucky was fired after a protester was murdered. No arrests there yet. That's not good enough.

Some cases are clearly illegal, sure.  On the other hand, some of the cases are attributable to being in a riot zone while police are clearing the area.  Being a journalist doesn't give you a magic shield or allow you to ignore general orders to disperse.  If you choose to get in the middle of the action and take a baton round to the face, well, that's just the end result of your decision to gamble.

Bad things happen at riots.

That might make some sense if there weren't all those pesky videos taken by journalists off on the periphery of the action beign targeted.

The only real lesson here is journalists and protestors should be armed so that they can do their thing in peace.

Some of the 'protesters' are armed.  They're the ones stirring up damage and trying to bring the SWAT teams down on the peaceful protesters.

Your advice is bad advice and should absolutely not be followed if peaceful protest and the aim of peaceful protest is to remain.
