That said, give me a spinoff show starring Routh and Ford's characters, you cowards.

That looked like it was in focus when I posted.  I assume in the interim, BRIAN BLESSED said something to the photographer and the camera broke,

I heard they were talking of doing a limited series of Superman from earth-whatever Superman Returns was.  96?
His "Crisis" Superman.

Oh, man, actually reading the article I feel kinda bad for the actor. "I want to have a fun, light character too! I didn't want to be a stoic grump the entire run, that's what they told me to do!"

I'm not sure I've ever read a really compelling Hawkman comics run either, to be fair. And I loved him as a kid.

They could very easily bring them back, it's Legends for cryin out loud!

Given how much fun it was to see Vandal Savage in Hell, I'd love to see another round of Hawkfolks to see what Legends does with today. Boy, that first season was really very not fun, wasn't it? I was basically only sticking around for Captain Cold and almost dropped out when he died.

(And honestly, it's even hard to remember that Rory actually lived an entire lifetime as a time bounty hunter)

We saw Justice Society of America's Hawkman in the first episode of Stargirl.

He looked much better than the Legends version.

No, it was really hard to get through.  But now that they know they're allowed to have fun, I wonder if Hawkman/Hawkgirl could lighten up.

Also, have you noticed Hawkgirl and Astra both have the same problem of keeping their jaw closed when they talk and they talk through clenched teeth?

Also, can they get rid of Astra please?  Doesn't it defeat the whole character of Constantine who is repenting/trying to save the soul of little girl Astra?  I mean, if she's a member of the crew....and an adult?

buntz: Doesn't it defeat the whole character of Constantine who is repenting/trying to save the soul of little girl Astra?

Counterpoint: it's also nice to have Constantine be forced to not be a guilt-ridden sad-sack. He was guilty over Astra. He was guilty over his boyfriend. Now he's sorta in a place where he can't hide behind that, and it's interesting to see how he connects to the other characters.

That said, I certainly don't want Astra sticking around next season. I do on the other hand, kinda want to see Mick/Lita daddy/daughter adventures, despite myself. I should, by all rights, hate it, and I mean, c'mon tough-guy-turns-softie-with-a-kid-in-the-picture, really? But I just feel like I'm not getting enough of it.

Well, they kind of already DID that.  C'mon!!  Tough-guy-turns-softie-and-becomes-a-romance-novelist, really?
And I DID love it.  And don't get me wrong, I'd be fine with the daughter too.  But, we've talked about this, it's almost like he's prepping to leave the show, he's almost never on.  He's more of an afterthought.

I would love for it to pare down to a core group of Legends again that travels through time.

Again, not to say I HAVEN'T loved everything they've been doing.  Just saying I think I would love it more with a group of Legends and not Mona, Gary, Astra, and whatever other randos they throw in.

We were talking about how fun it would have been if, when they were forming their sorority, and they said they needed more girls, if, like, Laurel, Kara, Kate Kane et. al. showed up in the next scene, like standing there confused/annoyed they were needed for this silly endeavor.  I mean I get why they didn't.  But it would have been such a funny "Legends" thing to do.  And to see Laurel and Kate (or Dinah....or Mia) HATE the idea but Kara would have been like 100% in!!!

buntz: Mona, Gary, Astra

That said, I'd love them to use the actress who played Wolfie more. She was the only good thing about Mona being on the show, and she basically had nothing to do.

But yeah, cutting back the size of the group, and ditching the dead weight. Gary shouldn't be a "once an episode" character, more like "once a season" because he is a good recurring source of trouble for the Legends. I do want more Behrad- he really integrated in a way that feels like he'd been part of previous seasons. (And I'm embarrassed that it wasn't until the next day that I got the "Ultimate Buds" joke, because duh)

I do predict that Caity Lotz is actually going to leave after next season. I just get that sense that the performer is on the verge of breaking out, don't ask me why. That'll be the last test for the show, honestly- if it can handle that switch, it's got a chance of sticking around with a constantly shifting cast, sorta Doctor Who style, which given Arthur Darvill and "Time Masters" in the first season, seems appropriate.

Yeah, I get the sense she's leaving too.  I'm not sure what she would do at this point.  Like I'm sure she's been offered roles in other shows (like Maggie in Walking Dead.  She left the show to do her own show, it bombed, and now she's coming back).
I like her as Sarah, I'm not sure I would watch her as a "tough FBI agent who 'doesn't play by the rules'" you know?
I'm not sure I'd enjoy Ava as captain without Sarah.
And I don't care at ALL about Behrad.  It's not the actors fault.  But his presence alone was jarring to us, the audience, because we didn't know him, though technically we were SUPPOSED to know him.
They've done a LOT of exposition of who he is and why we should like him, but, again, having 3 characters now whose only power is the ability to push people with wind find a bracelet?  Not exactly the story line I'm interested in.
I used to hate Zari and now I like having her back.  I didn't like Kardashian-Zari and I'm bummed she's still around now too!
I don't like Charlie.  I miss Vixen.  Like I don't get why they kept the actress but just changed who she is and what she can do.
(Much like I don't understand why Flash kept Cisco but decided to take away his power for seemingly NO reason)

I would love a soft reboot of Legends (because that's something they can do).  Get Rip Hunter back (what is HE doing?) and form a core cast of D-list DC characters again!

And ALL this being said, I'd rather watch an episode of Legends (with ANY cast) than pretty much ANYTHING else on TV, so...

It's the one show I 100% look forward to every week.

I like both Zaris, and they both had to grow on me a bit- I hated both of them at first. I actually really appreciated that they didn't build a "we need the real Zari" plotline, and decided that both Zaris were "real".

I like Behrad's chemistry with Nate, and while it's no substitute for the Nate/Ray combo, it's satisfying in the same way.

And if Caity Lotz leaves, Ava has to also go. You can't break them up, you can't "bury your gays", so the only option is a "ride off into the sunset" together. Jess Macallan can stay, as we've seen- there are options for keeping actors and changing characters.

But FFS, LESS GARY. If nothing else LESS farkING GARY.

Well, she's a clone.  So there are unlimited possibilities.  Because I'm not really a fan of Ava, but I have nothing against the actress.

And really, give me a Snart/Mick spin off and I'm happy!
