(Marketwatch)   Drug dealers are going corporate. Why yes, the Business tag seems totally appropriate, and the Interesting tag barely beat out the ironic tag. No, subby is not talking about Big Pharma   ( divider line

I'd say that Ironic was a strong contender here, but rather pissed that subby didn't use the Amusing tag, since I'm LMAO at this.

Marijuana dispensaries went there (Corporate) long ago. With everything, including security.*

*CSB: Once, on a very slow day, I had a little talk with the security guard at an unlicensed dispensary in Anaheim. Aside from being a little bit overweight, this guy fit most of the tropes/stereotypes of a Black Thug Gang Member. And he's armed with full farking Santa Ana PD foot patrol gear, including bullet proof vest, Glock pistol, taser, functioning radio mike linked to an HQ, and farking NAME BADGE. Also, the guy is doing his damndest to act/talk like a professional and a respectable member of society. Reading between the lines, it seems that the local drug gangs decided to pool resources and quietly help fund the creation of a California-licensed security services company, which specializes in providing armed security and video surveillance at marijuana-related businesses. It also provides legal employment to the same gang members who would normally be hanging around acting like gang members.

Yes, that's why they've used the word "organized" in organized crime for like forever.

If they were more business savvy, they should have been a Delaware-registered C-Corp. Get that sweet, sweet VC money.
