That's brilliant. It wouldn't be as portable, but if you had a way to power some high velocity fans, you could really push that cloud away.

/Great, now I'm 10 again and designing a hand truck, generator, and high velocity fan.

I may have to rethink my raw hatred of leaf blowers.

Leafblowers to become *the* must-have accessory for The Antifa Uniform this summer!!

And you could put a sail on it so the fan could blow it forward instead of needing to pull it yourself. I saw a documentary about this years ago, hosted by a Wile E...cann't remember his last name.

I never heard of this, but I can imagine how it might work: an inner non-conducting surface, an outer conducting surface, and current/voltage-activated tiny explosive hooks attached to conducting wires. When the cop tasers you, the suit protects you, yet conducts that charge to the hook launch sites. The launch sites explode out the attached hooks to funnel the charge back to the shooter.

Make sure that you have a ground wire leading off you, like to the bottom of your shoe..
That would pretty much negate that...

Now they will make them illegal here for "safety" reasons. After all the years of being woken up early on a weekend by them and people complaining and it will probably be supported by the NRA.

What would that do?  The current/voltage is between the two leads.  Ground is irrelevant.

OK, that was funny, but it got me to thinking. Now I'm high as fark right now, so bear with me. I'm thinking, "Well why the fark won't that work? Oh, it must be something about Newton."

So, yeah, Google says:  " Because every action has an equal and opposite reaction. So if the fan is on it will push the boat backwards. while blowing wind forwards. The Sail will catch this wind so it's pushed forward by it, but at the same time it is attached to the boat and thus the two forces will naturally equal out." And that makes all kinds of sense.

But what if it is a solar sail and a mounted flashlight? I see energy use (the flashlight's battery) but I do not see any opposite reaction (unless it is a backwards "push" of a photon on the photon emitter?) and how would that happen?

Probably obvious (like I said, I'm high) but....Bueller, anyone?

Water.  CS grenades burn to emit the gas, extinguish the grenade, no more gas.  The leafblower gets around the problem of you have to be fully geared to tackle a gas grenade.by yourself (mask, heavy duty gloves, bucket/traffic cone, etc.).

Solar sails only work in a vacuum.

So chainmail would act as a Farraday cage? I think it would some wire or chain to ground it. You wouldn't even need chainmail, brass or copper screen might work better.

Well, yeah, I sort of assumed that that would be assumed by everyone. It would be in space. Where, of course, a fan would not work. Because, you see, there is no air.

It would have to be a material strong enough that the taser darts won't penetrate,
