Trump*: When the rocket starts, the shooting starts.

Twitter Fact Check: that's not how you shoot an astronaut.

I don't suppose they'd be willing to drop a nuke from orbit, on a.....certain individual, who shall remain nameless, and totally annoying.

I sure hope it launches successfully. I really want to watch live.

IDK if it's just today's mood, but may as well mark this HOTY now.

Weather was supposedly predicted before Wednesday's attempt to be 50% probability of being OK. For the weekend, the prediction is only 40% probability. With house odds like that, I wouldn't want to gamble.

2020-05-29 4:04:03 PM
We still have time to stowaway then?

And as an easy to find note to myself:
FTA: SpaceX and NASA are now targeting 3:22 p.m. EDT Saturday for the next available launch attempt, and 3 p.m. EDT Sunday for a third window.

Given the Canadian 'Bob & Doug' theme for this mission, let's just try and keep Edgar K. B. Montrose far away from both Crew Dragon and Starship, eh?

I don't disagree with the headline, but it should be noted that the astronauts will first be attempting an escape from Florida, which, you know, kinda lights the match.

Saint Heinlein taught us that you don't need nukes, just rocks. Or you know, a toolbox or something.

The trick is all in how you aim.

The fact that Al Bean just happened to vaguely remember what that was saved the entire mission.

WTF with Florida being the place you would launch ANYTHING into space. been there twice, and thunder/lightening is par for the course every damn day.

This is why they launch here.

https://www.accuweather.com/en/weather-news/why-does-nasa-launch-rockets-from-cape-canaveral-florida/352412

The timing for launches to the ISS are very limited and precise because of where the ISS happens to be in orbit.  The launch times on a Florida afternoon do suck because of weather but they have no choice.

Also, lightening is what you do with your loafers.

Yes, but nothing that has but everything that works was designed a long time ago.
