The word "respected" gives it away. No one who is not a coont respects trump*.

Trump isn't respected. Why would he attend?

2020-05-28 2:03:08 PM
I'm glad he wasn't there for the exact same reason schools are closed: idiot children are vectors for spreading disease to adults because they don't practice any sort of infection-control behaviors. The adults need to have a serious meeting and a child would just be distracting, contribute nothing, and endanger them all.

Donnie and Pooty-Poot got other things to worry about. Pooty-Poot has some "independent contractors" he might have to go save, and Donnie has to wait for the call on how to blame it on Obama...

Trump thinks cooperation is for weak losers

2020-05-28 3:08:09 PM
Trump has argued that wise leaders put the interests of their own countries first.

BAHAHAHAHA!!!

Trump's interests take a back seat to anything doing with the country. Ex, a Twitter fight while Corona death numbers continue to rise.
Ten bucks says he isn't going because he knows he's going to be ridiculed by other leaders and his fragile ego can't handle that.

Couldn't he send his daughter or her dilettante son-in-law?

2020-05-28 3:09:36 PM
That's assuming he was invited to begin with.

On the world stage, Trump is probably the office equivalent to a dumb Colin Robinson.

What is there to discuss? Tell Trump to get farked and ban americans from your countries till he's gone

Why should world leaders waste their time speaking with the leader of the Klu Klux Karen Klan?

Indeed.  Somewhere in the GIGANTIC pile of "bullshiat t(R)eason-party assholes projected their own failings and weaknesses about" is all that "embarrassing on the world stage!!1!" noise.

And here we are.  100,000 dead Americans, and just getting started.  Thanks, MAGAts.

And once again, other countries pick up the mantle of leadership voluntarily given up by the US via Trump. The rest of the world is moving into a new, post-America order. This is the direct result of Trump's actions and will affect the entire world for longer than any of us will be alive. America: the first superpower to voluntarily give up its global legitimacy and leadership based on a platform of "making itself great again." It'd be funny if not true.

America First is getting more and more like America Alone, and we probably deserve it.

Yep.
Coercion, control, suppression, bribes, smothering, lies, secrets, gossip, black mail, grifting-that's the Trump* way of life!

There is a strong hint in there, that the USA will not support Canada's bid for a permanent Security Council seat.

Wow.

That was always part of "America First"

It was about racism, xenophobia, and isolationism since it was coined in the 1920s.

It was a slogan used extensively by fascists in the US which became a bit of an issue after Pearl Harbor and going to war with Germany. So it disappeared from general usage.

I think it's been going on for a while. A lot of nations were not pleased at being stuck in Afghanistan and Iraq. But yes, Trump has sped up the demise of the American Empire.

We have become the Stupid Country thanks to the Stupid Party. It will take many Apology  Tours by future decent administrations to just try to undo and mitigate all the damage and  farkery the orange shiatstain and his enablers have done.

Just asking....

World leaders know what's best for them. And they have decided that it's not in there best interests to have Trump around while they're trying to work. It's just a waste of time. It's pretty much the "playing chess with a pigeon" analogy.

Seriously, how can Trump help them? He's not willing to listen - and he doesn't believe in global institutions. Pretty embarrassing for the USA.

Has anyone pointed out that China put their own interests first in December and January?

Canada isn't going to stop doing the right things just to get Trump's vote - character counts.

There was always a chance that they wouldn't get the seat, anyways, for half a dozen other reasons - for or against - Norway, Ireland or Canada and the 195 or whatever countries. Yes, the US has a veto and can kibosh Canada - but Norway, and Ireland will also take part in the same council as Canada will. We're not fittin' to sell out to DJT, mind his feelings, just for something we've had numerous times in the past and will have another chance at further down the road again.

How does that make sense? Canadians support a holding a non-permanent Security Council. Why wouldn't we? We always have in the past. Canadians love and respect the U.N.

For a moment I though you wrote "Canadians love and respect the U.S."...

Love, maybe... like you love that idiot cousin who always gets in jams but manages to do something good once in a decade.

Fact check on the article? Did the US defined the WHO?

Or did the US just fund the WHO to the same that china funds it?

Seems ironic to me that Trump is so mad that China acted in their self interest but wants all countries to do the same now that the cat is out of the bag.

With so many decades of work, how can the WHO be defined?

It is a question for philosophers, for architects of mind, and now the morons who cannot type correct

Did you mean "fund" or "defund".  Either way, the question makes no sense.
