The Office of Digital Strategy is when Stephen Miller bends a White House intern over and violently finger-bangs his anus then sends out a tweet for Trump without washing his fingers.

Everyone, I would just like to apologize for that sentence. I now realize that 'violently finger-bangs his anus' is potentially confusing as to the anus being finger-banged, but I will let you reconcile that ambiguity yourselves.

If I was allowed a single wish, I may have to really debate about whether I would want to ban Trump from Twitter or cure Covid-19.

Probably staffed with the same idiots who couldn't figure out how to turn the lights on in the White House for two weeks.

Can you imagine being one of the remaining career people inside the White House these days, trying to manage and direct these sorts of ridiculous outbursts? They know damn well it's going nowhere because Congress isn't going to change the act and any attempt by the White House to directly manage the social media companies is going to get shot down quickly in court.

I cannot imagine the level of stress those people must be under.

Isn't increasing corporate liability the opposite of what Republicans usually do?

If Trump pulls this bullshiat, I hope the precedent farks corporations who spread Covid-19 extremely hard.

If Trump feels that online companies are acting in violation of the law, he should absolutely have the FCC investigate. If he's using the possibility of having the FCC investigate violations as a club of coercion, he should be impeached for abuse of power. Now, that he's raised the issue, he needs to follow through.

The order asks the FCC to examine whether actions related to the editing of content by social media companies should potentially lead to the firms forfeiting their protections under section 230.

Seems like in the future @Jack should just delete Trump's post instead if Trump wants to pull this sh*t.

I'm going with it's Miller's own anus and he's just staring at a bent-over intern. "Look back at me, look back at me, you (((biatch)))!" As their eyes meet, another piece of the intern's soul is forever gone, and Miller grows stronger.

Not "an army."

"An inexhaustible supply of automated social-media ads, using the viewer's own expressed preferences to tailor the message to the individual and precisely calibrated to create as much outrage as humanly possible."

> The draft order also states that the White House Office of Digital Strategy will re-establish a tool to help citizens report cases of online censorship. The tool will collect complaints of online censorship and submit them to the Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).

umm, the White House Office of Digital Strategy is a messaging/propaganda office that tries to make Trump look good. They don't have the technical role or skills  to accept and evaluate input from the public.in this area.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Office_of_Digital_Strategy
The Office of Digital Strategy is an Executive Branch agency that promotes the U.S. president's messaging with online engagement efforts and digital media

So a toothless "review" of an existing law that if dismantled would likely result in his own summary banning from most social media platforms? Pretty much the vainglorious puffery we've come to expect from the bigliest manliest man to ever occupy the office.

First, a business is not a governmental entity so it has no constitutional burden.
If they want to enforce laws around hate speech they should ditch trump first,he's a slam dunk. Good luck getting any oversight on business entity, they don't have any government contracts etc. that will give them any leverage. Oh, and there is that pesky TOS agreement he agreed to.

The only aholes violating free speech in this country are the morons withholding government funds from public libraries that host reading time with drag queens, the imbeciles supporting laws to fine doctors and take away their right to practice if they discuss guns with patients, the human garbage compelling doctors to read remarks prepared by conservative trash to women seeking abortion services, the deplorable aholes threatening to sanction the NFL if it doesn't adopt the policies they want for protesting athletes, the dunces trying to ban Harry Potter books because these promote witchcraft...

So, who wants to take down the social media by a death of a million bot-shiatpostings?
