This could be fun. Let's set up a contest between them for the title of "Most Concerned While Still Being Useless" member of Congress. Something like a 40-yard dash to their respective fainting couches might work.

You had a chance to remove him last January.

You were fine with him being right where he is.

fark you and everyone who even looks like you, Grassley.

Maybe don't elect an 89 year old man to a six year office.

No he's not.  Grassley doesn't give a shiat about Trump's abuses of power.  He's made this crystal clear by his actions.

Ah, but see he IS holding his ass to the fire because of this. Instead of giving him a full service rimjob and fluffing, he's just phoning it in now!

They see the polls. We're starting to prep. If Trump loses, they're all going to start covering their asses. So there's a few brave souls that are going to start testing the waters. Assuming he does lose, it will be glorious to watch all these assholes try to resurrect their careers their reputations and their dignity

He was reigning hell on them.....then poof. nothing

George W.... W... Who?

They will try to send Trunp to the same memory hole as W, and the media will 100% let them get away with it.

If only there was something he could do about it, oh I dunno.... four months ago.

If Trump, Pence and Pelosi gets removed from office, dies of covid or whatever, Chuck Grassley becomes President. Apparently.

Lol.

So basically the moral is the Republican party needs to be branded as Trump cultists and you just remind them that their history is going to be just that.  Any achievements, anything else that they think is worth while should be hit with an asterisk. *-voted to support D. Trump

I swear to geebus the next wave of Democrats should make the investigations into their finances and election fraud so fast and fierce that it shell shocks the traitorous weasels.  Take away the consequences and you always get a group ready to break the rules by worse and worse degrees.

Grassley will die before his next term is up. The only thing he really cares about now is his name's legacy, and his son who currently is in the Iowa Senate.

You want chuckie to hurt? Then the target has to be Patrick Grassley's carreer.

Indeed

Pffft.  No one is more adept at concerned hand wringing than Susan Collins.  How does the story go?  Susan Collins spends 2 hours agonizing over the lunch menu in the Senate dining room, then when it is time to order she tells the waitstaff, "I'll have what Mitch McConnell is having".

The Republican Party must be destroyed for the good of the country.

B-b-b-but older people have wisdom!  They can only do things that are good with god because they have one foot in the grave!!  Besides they are stubborn, and god really likes that too!

Politicians should retire at 65.  It would solve a lot of problems in the world if the dead wood was automatically taken care of.

Go fark yourself, Grassley. This is exactly what you wanted, you're just angry that Trump is damaging the brand.

2020-05-28 9:51:18 AM
The best word to describe this is pathetic.  Grassley has become a pathetic old man unwilling to take any action while what is left of his legacy is being torn to shreds by Trump.  For some this may appear sad but to me it is just pathetic.

* Checks voting record

Sorry Chuck, still voted with your party and president on these things including not to remove a traitor from office when you had a chance.  You are just as guilty if not more so because you are of sound mind and body.

Sidepipes: Chuck Grassley, a/k/a Barney Fife, was once a decent representative then senator for Iowa until a black man had the audacity to become President.  Once that happened, he turned into the racist, party-over-country POS we are stuck with now.  As an Iowan, I apologize.  He's from the same solid red half of the state that gave us such awesome winners as Rep. Steve King and Sen. Joni Ernst (both of who are up for re-election in November).

I mean I guess a member of a corrupt fascist misogynist white nationalist party is a decent representative from Iowa.  Republicans didn't become like this in the past 12 years, they've been this since Goldwater proved you needed the Southern Strategy to win the primary in 1964.

Did you miss the part where I said "once was"?

Did you miss the 1964? Grassley took office in 1980.
