This is a useless poll unless you break it down into those who are already committed to Biden or Trump.
If you say that you're already committed, it hardly matters. If you say you're undecided or not sure you plan on voting, then it matters.

It's also critical to break it down by state. I'm sure that Warren got good marks in California and Massachusetts. So what? Biden has a lock there. Give me the results for Florida, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin (Arizona while we're at it).

Otherwise, it's all pointlessly ambiguous.

Each of those groups are not the same size. Nor is this election decided upon popular vote, divas mentioned above, Warren could increase support for Biden in California for example, but he doesn't need more support there.

While I like Warren and probably would prefer Harris, based on style and gut feelings alone, this poll is pretty worthless.

I like the idea, except for the loss of her senate seat, even temporarily.

There's no VP candidate that will get Trump supporters to vote for Biden. The hope is to find a candidate that will get Democrats to get off their asses and vote. The non-voters put Trump in office last time.

As long as we are dreaming....

Biden goes off once inaugurated and expands the court to 17, then appoints the most far left judges possible to 8 new seats, none of them over 60 years of age, and at least one of them an actual communist (to bring balance to the force).

2020-05-27 4:35:41 PM
Younger. One of them has to be younger or willing to take a hit for the team to get a backup.

Would love Warren as VP but do we really want to pull Democrats out of the Senate, which, if polls are to be believed, has a chance to flip back to Democratic control?

Warren gets the nod as VP, immediately starts insisting on morning runs with Biden

John Kerry was campaigning with Biden all winter and my understanding is Kerry would like to do that again.  Obama isn't going to do anything like that - might be willing to do Supreme Court, big emphasis on might.

I love Liz Warren, but this, this, this. She came in a distant third in the Virginia primary, but was beat by Bloomberg (!) in other state primaries on Super Tuesday. No matter how good your ideas, you won't get to implement them if you can't win the popularity contest to get in. She can be more effective as a Senator in the long run.

Obama as Chief of Staff. I don't know what the legality of having him in a position where he is in the succession path is, and really... the palling around with Biden could seriously commence again.

Let Hillary be Sec State again. Keep them both in the game to replace RBG when she retires.

Nope, head of the government reform task force ferreting out historical patterns of corruption and foreign influence on elections, recommending legislation to fix them, and referring crooks and colluders to the AG for prosecution. Just tweet that he's accepted the position - don't even talk to him. Trump will go high order to the point where the new president's first job will be hiring someone to clean the bloody puke, shiat, snot, and tears out of the Oval Office carpet.

Not really a problem, they have to have a special election within 5 months of Nov. 3 and the odds of it not being a D seat are slim.  Gonna take Biden 5 months to undo all the Executive Orders before he can get around to a legislative platform, and besides that, pretty good chance the Dems are going to pick up enough seats anyway.

Also, the House will be busy with investigations and looking at all the documents that the Big Twit's been hiding.

Except suddenly the rapepublicans would care about time spent on the bench...to which they have nominated a few that have never presided over a case or sat on the bench.

Things don't matter to rapepublicans until someone else tries the same thing, then it's an unpatriotic and unconstitutional action.

Obama for SCOTUS.  He was a constitutional law professor. ACTUALLY farkING QUALIFIED.

2020-05-27 4:44:38 PM
From the graphic in the article, it looks like only Warren (+3), Klobuchar and Harris (+1) improve things for Biden overall.

That's nationally though. I'd love to see how each of them impacts the Electoral College for Biden. Most of Warren's pull is only going to help Biden in states he was already winning.

2020-05-27 4:44:50 PM
I'm on the fence regarding whom I'll vote for.  Picking Warren would really sway how I feel.

2020-05-27 4:45:07 PM
is this the same Senator Elizabeth Warren, who was unable to secure her own state, during the primary?

2020-05-27 4:45:27 PM
The first line of the article is "26% say placing Warren on the ticket would make them more likely to vote for Biden; 23% say it'd make them less likely."

That's so close to a tie that the headline "Among Rumored Vice Presidential Candidates, Warren Would Give Biden the Biggest Boost" has to be from another article, or the writer and/or editor of the article is a complete idiot, so I stopped reading right there.  When you say "X will help Y" and the very first line of your articleis "X will neither help nor hurt Y", the article is too stupid to read.

2020-05-27 4:45:45 PM
I can't believe how shamelessly Biden is pandering for my vote by making suggestions I agree with.

I would want someone slightly younger as VP.  I'm not sure a ticket with two septuagenarians would be all that exciting (even though Warren definitely doesn't come off as "old" so maybe I'm just talking out of my ass)

/right place for it at least.
