FTA: "Pushing restaurant tables farther apart may not be enough to protect servers and hostesses. And opening up outdoor decks and patios for food consumption could help, but what about the cooks back in the kitchen?"

This is one major negative on the US re-opening mindset...no one really understands what goes on behind the scenes to make businesses go.  people behind the wall behind the cash register that work in close quarters.

I have been seeing a growing argument of why home depot, walmart and targets get to be open but the privately owned dress shop in town cannot.

It would be great to let the small dress shop owner to stay open...she can do by appointment shopping and measuring for weddings, proms, dance recitals, etc*

but two things happen, idiots who never really shopped at the dress shop will do so to make a point (Barbara Striesand effect) and *how many people nbeeds dresses with everything shut down

Night Train to Wakanda: God damn I love these young progressives.

Yup. There's a few of them showing up around the country.

At this point I am on board with Kenyatta for President '40

This guy understands a lot of what others don't. However, not every small business owner makes big bucks. But we should patronize small businesses as much as we can. When you buy from a small business, you're paying for soccer registration, dance lessons, or someone's mortgage. I understand that money is tight for almost everyone right now , but please keep the little guy in mind while shopping.
