Idol's must have been set to "time delay"

You guys need to do a more thorough pre race inspection

How do you cheat with rear alignment?  Some sort of active suspension?  They ban positive camber (makes sense if and only if you only make turns one way)?

I don't know, but it must be possible if they care enough to inspect for it post-race and penalize that hard for it.

The elder gods are known for acting when they wish, not when we ask.

So the Dread Lord Cthulhu did strike Johnson down, just not when we expected.

I'm Shocked .......How could HWSNBN........or could NASCAR want a little free press by throwing #48 car under the bus ??

Camber, offset, axle alignment to centreline..all controlled. You may not remember when they were running stupid amounts of camber by tweaking the housings and using spherical splines on the axle ends in the drive plates. Lots of broken axles. Every street stock on up tweaks axle housings with the torch and wet rag deal, but the cup guys were taking it to the extreme with their floating axles. They were for a time skewing the axles so far from centreline that the cars were dog tracking bigly down the straights..the edge of the rear quarter looked like it was a foot or more closer to the wall than the front fender. All I know is if a Hendrick team plays dumb and says "hmm..sumphin musta broked" you know damn well it was intentional. Just like the time the roll cage gnomes ate half the thickness of the tubing out of the upper half of Gordon's car during the race..crazy what happens to that camp.

"That's an interesting theory you got there. A team might win a few races with that Camber thing."

I don't know what this means but I'll imply it's something that doesn't matter anyway; if it was important I would already know about it.

Someone wants blood on the track. We do not want to go back to the 1950s and 1960s racing where a track fatality happened every week or two.  Just take a look at the Ryan Newman wreck at Daytona and think about what his car would look like without that chassis.

Seeing that passenger cars look as bad after a 45 MPH collision as his car did with a 200 MPH collision, his wreck in a passenger car would've disintegrated it.

I once got a Dodge Shadow up to 110. And I'd be willing to take a Hellcat up to 200 on a closed course.

It's less that they've run out of ways to cheat and more that they've run out of people to cover for them.

Notice how Jimmie's career downswing really didn't kick off fully until Brian France was ousted as CEO.

I wouldn't say he's not competitive. He did finish 2nd, was in the lead pack most of the race and would have been 7th or 8th in points before this penalty.

This Is his last year, though, they're eyeing replacements and as a whole there's a push for a "youth movement".
