Let's try this again, shall we.

Many years back my roomie finally got his pup deballed, when he came home I broke out the Magic Marker and wrote "Wide Load" on his new facial funnel.

I've only had one cat the needed a cone of shame.  Everyday I'd get home from work and he had managed to get it off, likely five minutes after I left in the morning.

If that's not rubbing it in the face, I don't know what is.

Many of those cones look too small and way too uncomfortable.

FarkingSmurf: I've only had one cat the needed a cone of shame.  Everyday I'd get home from work and he had managed to get it off, likely five minutes after I left in the morning.

When we got out kitten spayed a few months ago, she violently rejected the cone. Constantly thrashing about to get it off, and unable to eat/drink with it on.

We eventually gave up on the cone, and I ended up cutting leg holes and the end off an old sock and putting it on her. Aside from her front legs slipping out on occasion, it worked really well.

We later tried a couple of the pre-made options (lighter, velcro fastener) from Amazon, but they didn't work so well with her body type (long, very thin).

Dog looks shaken, not stirred.
