Just when we think we've hit rock bottom, IvankaKorps rolls out a new diamond-tipped laser drill to place concussion charges in the fault lines, and, down we go.

It's Memorial Day. You get to thinking, you know? I served, but never in combat. I don't know anyone who died in combat. But I know quite a few who perished serving their country, dying in training accidents. That's what I'm thinking about today. Those guys who died young just trying to be ready in case America called upon them.

Thanks gentlemen.

Yes, but Obama is still an effective scapegoat for all the perceived wrongs that Trump is using to hide behind his actual sociopathic actions.

I don't really think he is. His mind is just as jumbled as his word salad speeches.

I used to work at a large state university and had access to yearbooks going back to the 1800s. Reading through those published during WWII was a real eye-opener. It also made me wonder about those who survived and returned to Camus, along with all of the veterans using their GI Bill benefits. Did they look at the classmates who didn't have to fight, and all of their relatively innocent concerns, and think with pride "this is what I fought for!" or did they look at normal college life with its self-indulgent hijinks and think "this is what I fought for?"

Deaths are declining?

That's remarkably impressive.  Is Trump his Jesus powers to resurrect them?

Or are we talking zombies?

At this point any news organizations that use the term "the president" instead of "that moron" are just part of the problem and effectively promote this behavior.

These tweets don't reveal any changes in Trump's policies or in his relationships with the defamed. This is by far not the first time Trump has made rude tweets. If the news media genuinely believe that their excessive media coverage of Trump was responsible for his victory in 2016, and presumably wish to avoid a repeat of that, what is it in this story that is so urgent that the benefit to the public of promulgating it outweighs the harm of keeping Trump the center of attention? Not only is this not important, it's not even interesting.

Can you imagine the look on D2S' face when he rushed down to to he massive Covid19 warehouse Obama set up, threw open the doors and found the place empty save for a zerox of a black male buttocks with "kiss this" written on it?

That and Trump has no legislative policies or actions that can be seen as a benefit to the nation he can hang his hat on.

When you've got nothing, shiatting on the guy before you is the only option.

At my university they set aside two of the "houses" within the dormitories for veterans only. Makes you wonder if this was due to natural inclination to be "with brothers in arms" or because they couldn't stand being around the "Normies."

Part of me wonders if there was PTSD issues at play...such things weren't recognised or diagnosed until after Vietnam.

We had a guy in our dorm who was a Vietnam combat vet. He was 28, studying for an engineering degree. Lovely guy: friendly, involved in dorm activities, tutored me in trigonometry. Just don't make the mistake of sneaking up behind him.

My grandmother's uncle was in the Army and killed in France soon AFTER WWI had ended. Some unexploded mustard gas ordnance got him. I just can't imagine how that conversation must've gone with the family when they found out.
