The only single people who are panicking are the ones actively looking for a partner.

Then you have people like me surrounded by their pets, not getting dressed for days, ordering pizza and groceries online, slowly losing the ability of speech, not opening the drapes because the light hurts our eyes, and calling our last container of clorox wipes my preccciiiiooousss.

So yea any Farkers wanna go on a date?

Been trying to remember what that outdoors exercise thing is like. I recall it being tiring. Don't think I'm up for it for a little while yet

I bet they never felt that way before.
I swear, it's the truth.

I've never been more comfortable in my decision not to have kids. Holy shiat people are losing it. Of course, in male/female households women are still doing a majority of work. Which is bullshiate.

I mean, sounds pretty legit.  This isn't your best life?

I've never been so happy to be single and not have children. There are days when I just don't think I could put up with another persons' crap because I can barely handle my own.

Other days I'm pretty darn reasonably happy. The farm stuff is going pretty well considering I'm working everything by myself and holding down a full time job to boot. I'm pretty confident I'll at least have my current job for at least another year without risk of getting canned anytime soon.
I imagine the first day back to the office after all this will be like when the homeschool kids get dropped off at the park. I predict one praise jesus/will pray for me lady, one who is best at saying what we're all thinking, one awkward shouldn't have said that, one who can't make it an hour before calling for a ride, and one person who spent the entire time away from the office playing soccer and now can only talk about playing soccer and soccer related things.

I'm pushing 60, and I'm happy being single and childless.

I would like to get a cat, though.

/catless for 16 years :(

Get one.  Rescue shelters around the country are struggling, and I'm sure one has a cat who's waiting for you.

This is the advice I got when I was feeling lonely and wanted a cat.  I've never regretted my decision to get one.

I was pretty socially distant before, and still am now.

I'm not having the time of my life. TV's full of reruns and junk filler.

Having my wife and adult daughter here has helped keep me on a pretty normal daily schedule, with helps with the sanity.

Wow add in my TP and hand sanitizer horde and we are the perfect couple!

On Tuesday the roommate decided to break quarantine and go see her BF, she missed him so much and had to see him. Now she is stuck in house with 4 guys in an uncomfortable bed, I got the cat, a comfy bed and just started a Farscape binge and haven't had to close the bathroom door or wear pants in days. I WIN!

I've had to go to the office through all of this so my life is actually quite normal. It's also been easy to avoid awkward social interaction and purge toxic acquaintances.

Yeah, I go to work at 11 pm, only see other coworkers at the shift change, see a handful of guests.. (but if they'd wear masks occasionally, it would be nice), then go home at 7 am and stay there.

This, but longer hours (start earlier) and no guests.

Single. Have two cats. We're very happy. Okay, I'm a bit stir crazy, but they think 24/7 lap availability is the best thing ever.

No interest in dating. May adopt a kid someday - trying - but matching is hard when you'd be a single parent, most case workers want two parents and there are some behaviors that I can't deal with.

One of our cats decided to steal my computer chair on Tuesday, after I got up for more coffee.  First time she did that in the nearly 15 years we've had them.

So....how smug do all those parents who go around telling people their life will never be complete if they dont have kids seem to be now?

Because last i saw a lot of them are realizing how much of a hell they have put themselves into with their choices

I have no doubt that if you asked my wife, she'd say she does basically everything.

Now if one were to objectively measure this, I suspect she'd be doing a solid 1/3 of the total.  As long as you only count time that she is actually paying any attention to the kids (as opposed to playing XBox while they're downstairs/outside) as watching the kids, and completely ignoring the fact that I have a job.

I used to live with a cat. I own two chairs for that reason.

Cat steals chair, chairs get swapped, everybody wins.

I never could determine with certainty if she liked being spun or not.

The only thing that's really changed for me is that I haven't shaved, I've stopped wearing shoes, I've stopped eating out and now I have a mullet.  So just like high school.
