Watching the intro to the Wolfsberg/Dortmund match, it's even more eerie hearing the Wolfsberg music being all wolf howls and no other background noise.  Like, it's almost unsettling.

As opposed to the Alan Parsons Project that was just playing?  It is weird hearing it for a football match instead of the Chicago Bulls game.

Wolfsburg kits brought to you by Volkswagen and Degeneration X

Stupid foul.
Going away from goal near the half line and you go through his back.

Nice moves, but that curling shot was just a bit too far outside.

I'm not noticing any background noise.

Union Berlin have been outscored 6-0 since I looked them up on Wikipedia, thought they might be fun, and decided to make them my Bundesliga team.

Nice through ball.  Would have been nicer if the forward had gotten to it.

Chimpy McSquirrel: I'm not noticing any background noise.

There is a bit of white noise under the players shouting.  I think that is what the announcer is on about.

Is this your "superpower."

LaLiga authorized by the Spanish PM to come back starting the week of June 8th.

They've become our Fulham proxy.

Every Dortmund goal reminds me of my FIFA strategy: just pass as much as possible until the ball goes in.

Toooooooooor
Guerriero with an easy goal after the the entire Wolfsburg defense collapse on Haaland.

Sounds like what LvG always wanted at ManU

So a week after the Prem?  A sense of normalcy returns

Isn't that the Arsenal strategy?

One of these days, I'm actually finally going to fire up my only FIFA game (19), I swear.

I gotta say, these Borussia Mönchengladbach "fans" work for me.

I've got to think Real's going to recall Achraf. Seeing how much Carvajal gets hurt, they've got to give him a better look than they did last time around.

Carvajal had the same career path himself, having been sent to Bayer temporarily before being recalled for that golden CL run.

Ouch.  A kick right to the achilles tendon

If the MLB actually does return, every national game should have a cardboard cutout of Marlins Man in the front row right behind the plate.

It would be more fans than the Marlins actually got pre-pandemic.

That was the last one I'll buy for a few years. All I wanted was to hear "THE CHAAAAAAAAAMPIOOOOOONS", with some curiosity about how they'd finish The Journey.

Got a laugh out of them retconning parts of The Journey every damn year. 2017, they had a subplot about England needing a savior for the World Cup campaign, with messages saying there was an opening for a player to make his own, which fell into the void afterwards. 2017 and (less so) '18, they had the subplot with the friend-turned-enemy, which 2019 basically ignored completely.

My first live sports in months is German football on the Spanish language tv station! Is there like one person in the stadium somewhere trying to sing the traditional songs?

When the PL comes back, I want Moyes to blow bubbles from the West Ham team bench to create ambiance.

Dammit, I've been up for hours, saw the thread posted, and then completely forgot to turn on the TV in time.

This week I will start to learn the names of some of the B' M'gladbach players.

OK, here we go, second half...

How do you miss that?

Oh that was the chance for Wolfsburg

Chimpy McSquirrel: How do you miss that?

He went far post and had to still chip it over the keeper.  No reason he should have missed that.

So the Spanish announcers went all Simpson's on that miss.

And immediately down the other end, penalty to Leverkusen

Not entirely sure what the plan was there

And just like that, Leverkusen goes back in front.

Klause is wondering what he did, and that looks like a high foot to the calf.  Not sure if red card.
