The real problem is with all the pollution Dow used to pour into the rivers before the clean water act, all of those chemicals were trapped in sediment that got washed away by the flood.

This is real easy folks--DON'T PLAY IN FLOOD WATER. No need for testing right now, just assume that it's got sewage in it, and everyone will be OK.

Once the shiat starts receding, they can test it. I'm not sure what a few days are going to do to harm the results, but the results right now are going to show pollution because of sewage backing up, and that is literally going to happen anywhere in the world where a town or city gets flooded.

CthulhuCalling:

Is this shiat on America day

You say that like your country doesn't figure out some new way to be a piece of shiat on an almost daily basis.  Like yesterday you had senators threatening to cripple the measly unemployment handout you offered to victims of the pandemic because so many states still expect people to make a living off of $7 an hour.  Or the intelligence officer flagrantly saying he plans to erase evidence in order to protect Flynn, and through him Trump, which came out today.  Eventually you'll realize that all the things other people and countries say about you is real, but evidently today won't be that day for you.

France and the USSR did more to 'save Europe' in World Wars 1 and 2 respectively than America did. And in the Cold War, we did as much to fark up the world as the Soviets did, with effects that are still screwing shiat up to this day. "American exceptionalism" is just nationalism-speak for "we have healthcare that bankrupts your average citizen and sh*tty roads that break your tires and no real wages and it's honestly a miracle whenever your average citizen manages to survive into old age, but we demand to be called a first-world country anyway because I was born here."

Ah yes, a classic that never gets old. Obama... more evil than Hitler (because he's black), killed more people than Pol Pot, both simultaneously orchestrating a cunningly complex Deep State assault on American while failing at everything (depending on Trump's mood) all while subsisting solely on the blood of 3rd trimester abortions performed against the mothers will and wearing a treasonous tan suit.

fark that guy, right?

Uhh... No.

WW1 wasn't really about the fate of Europe as a whole. It was a regional conflict that spiraled out of control because it was too hard to not have a war.

The German Empire lost WW1 mostly because they lost their allies and their military started mutinying. Germans were getting restless and had a revolution, where the Kaiser and other ruling royals and nobles all abdicated. The entry of the US on the side of the Entente Powers certainly sped up the demise of the German Empire, but the US was by no means the decisive factor. They probably would have been defeated anyway.

In WW2, Hitler was doomed the moment he decided to draw the Soviets into the war by invading Russia. If he hadn't violated the Molotov-Ribbentrop agreement, he could have devoted all of his resources to the Western Front and stopped the invasion of Normandy in its tracks. Again, we certainly helped defeat Nazi Germany, but I would hardly call direct American involvement a decisive factor. The Soviets clogged up Germany's meat grinder with all the bodies they threw at it. Lend-Lease was a more decisive factor, particularly for the Eastern Front, but it was Soviet men using that American equipment.

Your attitude is exactly why Europeans look derisively at Americans. We sat on the sidelines for decent chunks of both wars, only getting involved when public opinion could be whipped into a frenzy for war (WW1) or we were directly attacked by a belligerent country (WW2).

Some artist in Saginaw did the entire song lyrics all over town in graffiti. That's where the graffiti in my picture came from.

The Soviets relied heavily on our support. We provided them with tons of equipment through land lease and had their backs.  France did very little militarily.
