If a plane goes down and CNN doesn't cover it, did anyone really die?

Airbus / Scarebus continues its ritual un-prosecuted pre-meditated killing of passengers world wide. From forcing tsunami destroyed countries to buy Scarebus to get aid, to failing the A380 150% wing-loading test, Scarebus builds on its reputation for falling out of the sky. FL35, cruise and it "breaks up". Nice. Good planes.

And Pakistan International Airlines had such a spotless safety record. Oh, wait.

Random Anonymous Blackmail: If a plane goes down and CNN doesn't cover it, did anyone really die?

It depends who was on it.

2020-05-22 9:04:10 AM
The pilot was woefully unqualified to fly that plane.

On the fourth attempt at landing.  Can you imagine being a passenger on that plane?

This crashed into a residential area. Was anyone on the ground killed?

2020-05-22 9:07:09 AM
Had this crashed in New York, Cuomo would have had it crash into a Nursing Home.

I don't think I want to think about my body being violently ripped apart in a plane crash.

/I'd rather die peacefully and painlessly

Do we now require planes to wear facemasks?

I'll take airbus over Boeing any day of the week

Boeing's reputation is such shiat right now they should break the company up and bury the name

Nope. I'm not going to think about it. That's one of my worst nightmares.

Not as bad as when a 4 seater Cesna crashed into a cemetery. They were finding bodies for weeks.

A double flameout?

Musta ran outta gas. A leak perhaps, pilot error more likely.

Seems probably that the three go-arounds burned through their reserve fuel. Why they had so much trouble with the landing though (and didn't decide to divert to a different airfield, let's say because of wind conditions) is yet to be determined.

Some airlines require their planes to wear payot.

Let's see what he does.
With so many grounded planes and so many furloughed workers, maintenance will have definitely taken a hit.  Will he be a leader and have his team notify the airlines and the technicians to enhance and strictly follow regulations before putting hundreds of people 30,000 feet in the air in a plane that hasn't flown in a couple months?  That's what a good leader would do.
But you know the answer.  If anything he will take the opportunity to put money into someone's pocket.

This is exactly what Trump had suggested.

"Rebranding".

Round and round,
Round and round...

Photos of the plane available after the go-around.

Looks like the engine cowls are shredded underneath.

The damn thing belly landed, took off again, then crashed.

I heard that they were having trouble with the front landing gear and went around.  Could it be that they were so focused on that issue they just plain run outta gas?  There was one incident where the crew was fiddling with a landing gear indicator and just flew right into a mountain.  Rule #1:  Fly the plane.

Wait so that thing actually DID a belly landing, somehow aborted it, climbed THEN crashed?  Is that what happened here?  That's a new one on me.

Fog of war and all that, but now speculation is landed, gear collapsed from some sort of issue, took back off with heavy engine damage.

Looks like hydraulic pumps were damaged. Photos of the doomed aircraft show the RAT deployed and smoke from engines. Looks like both damaged donks failed shortly after.

The first line of the Mail article is

A bank manager and at least one other passenger have been pulled alive from the wreckage of an Airbus A320 which crashed after an engine failure in Pakistan today with 108 people on board.

So the real question is have we learned to stop letting subby write headlines yet?
