(The Hill)   CDC admits it made a wee "oopsie" and has been combining the results from viral and antibody testing in its covid testing tracker which just HAPPENS to artificially lower the positive test percentage, a key metric in whether states can "re-open"   (thehill.com) divider line

born_yesterday: Man, people will sell themselves out so cheaply to that fat orange fark.

Not really. The most likely outcome is that reported infection rates are actually lower.

It seems like the decision to re-open wasn't science-based, but necessity. It was kind of at the point where they either filled the jails with protestors or approved more overtime for frontline staff.

mrshowrules: Trump administration blaming other parts of the administration while simultaneously claiming to have done a great job.

Everything is going super and it is not our fault.  It is our fault but not my fault.  Everything is going super.  Don't look at me - it is those f$ckers who work for me that f$cked up.  Also, Ghina who convinced me they were telling the truth.  Those f$ckers.  Also, Obama did not warn us strong enough and stopped helping when I took over.

Gina has it under control and they lied to us, but they did a great job, and now we're containing it and it will go away, but those Democratic governors are farking up and it's spread everywhere.  I wouldn't do anything different and I take no responsibility.

whatshisname: I believe the numbers coming out of China and the USSR more than those from the US.

I'm pretty sure the USSR is not reporting any cases within its borders.

OldRod: Is there anybody in this administration, or at the CDC, who knows what the fark they're doing?

I mean, I know an organization rots from the top down, but I had hoped that would be contained to Washington.  Now, even the farking CDC can't get their shiat together?  Fark!

They have economists making epidemiological assessments. ECONOMISTS, of all farking things.

If I wanted to use a RNG with a non-reproducable seed, I'd just ask fifteen different economists to assess the cost of milk.
