This is the same idiot who regularly retweets Qanon BS, and was rejected the first time around due to his lack of intelligence experience, and general lack of intelligence.

At this point, Americans should treat the GOP as a clear and present danger to our nation, and vote them out of office en masse whenever possible.

God, Biden is going to have to fire so many incompetent political appointments. At this point it would be easier just to fire everybody over a weekend and start over.

This is a disgrace

But compared to all the recent disgraces no one will even remember in 5 years except the people's whose careers he is about to ruin in the name of "Gutting the deep state"

Senate divides by zero, splits the difference.

I expect that to be the sum total of his platform.

This is the continuation of the dismantling of the American foreign intelligence gathering ability. Ratcliffe will have no less than eight months to blind the US internationally, regardless of the outcome of November.

/you guys are so farked.

The second Biden takes office, he needs to deploy the national guard, and forcibly remove every trump appointee from office

This is the guy that was such a bad nominee, he couldn't make it out of committee last year?  And now he's confirmed?

WTAF?

They'll be busy dealing with orders to prevent the transition of power.

Didn't he lie on his resume/CV? Isn't that the reason why he was rejected the first time around?

The GOP and Trump have corrupted the American government so thoroughly that this is the only reasonable answer. You don't just cut out some of the tumor and hope for the best; you cut as much of that farker out as possible, then take extreme measures to try and keep it from coming back.

You could say this any year since at least Nixon.

Technically don't all political appointees offer their resignations on a change of administration?

I don't think there's anything so formal, just that every position "serves at the pleasure of the President".
