The death of long-form journalism bothers me quite a bit.  I like the idea that we have blogs and twitter for rapid news but deep introspective articles are a part of a healthy information ecosystem that I fear is falling away.

Less so of late. They lost some luster overhauling their business model to remain relevant in our social media reality. They're still capable of their old heights at times, but the filler and clickbait ranks them well below Harper's or The New Yorker nowadays. A pity.
