even if the witnesses' testimony was false, it would not have changed the outcome of the trial

I guess perjury just doesn't matter anymore.

Depends on who's doing it.

So it's okay to lie in court. As long as you lose the case. Sounds good.

This is what happens when people running a government don't really care about duty to their role. They are all getting fat pay checks and there in good, secure, positions. So what if stuff slips? It's to much of a hassle to correct the problem.

It's ok, guys!  Democracy will be back online, and all this stuff will count again (selectively) right around early 2021.  If we're "lucky.".
(It's like the movie where the bad guys say "It'll all be over soon," and you know what happens next.)
I swear, I am so tired of feeling like this.

Hey, did anybody do "Department of Jenius" yet?

I mean wasn't the evidence withheld under sessions time as AG?

Given the act alone is contemptible and entirely what I've come to expect from this administration but I'm not sure about the attempt to tie Barr into it. There is already plenty to criticize Barr for, let's not give him a time machine so the right can wave off all criticism as made up by tacking on stuff like this.

Perjury only matters if it is material to the action at bar. That's the point implied by the quote you pulled (I didn't RTFA so I don't know if the facts support that analysis in this instance, but that's the black-letter rule). This is why when Republicans call Bill Clinton a perjurer I have to correct them - his lie was immaterial to any issue in controversy. Thus it was not perjury.
