Can anyone succinctly explain how Repuglicans can still think they are on the side of anything the US Constitution and Bill of Rights actually stand for (excepting that most deadly unintended blunder of the 2nd)?

Ends justify the means. They firmly believe that the GOP brand is better for America, so they do the bad things in support of Trump... so they can hold onto their seats to do that good at some future date.

That good being the roll back of women's rights and returning slavery back to the states to decide individually (Thomas would vote for both).

"neck gaiter"

Was that a thing before facemasks?

Helps in keeping blowing sand and dust getting down your collar. Not really 'a thing' unless military.

I have a couple of "buffs" that I've been using as neck gaitors. Double as head bands or doo-rags as well.

Spent the early afternoon ripping old programs out of my old laptop. Some things are rather difficult to kill.

And NVIDIA had stupid issues with their 2xx series mobile cards that kept killing my laptop. But, the laptop is so old, I am now just running the integrated graphics.

Yay.

'sup, y'all?

Yes.  Skiing and running and (I think) biking use them.

Busy day:

Closed three tickets for work
Had a plumber out to fix a leaky supply line
Prepped my second attempt at a edge-to-edge joined counter top - watched several videos on techniques
Went to Home Depot and got several more clamps after watching said videos (went HD over Lowes because I also picked up more supplies for my shaker cabinet doors)
Took back all the kids' borrowed equipment to school for end of year and picked up all their belongings

Mostly avoided the news
Good times

Hmmm, there's no-cost covid-19 swab AND anti-body testing available near me. Given I'm the most likely vector into my family, thinking maybe I'll get that done soon.

Was for cyclists.  good for keeping crap on trails or pathways from getting in one's mouth.  I have 2 of them being used as "masks" during all of this

A friend of mine is going in for some elective surgery next Tuesday. E was told that e must get tested for COVID on Friday and set up an appointment. At a drive-through only facility. My friend does not have a car. E has to rent a car to go get swabbed in order to have surgery next week.

I didn't have to get tested when I had my wrist surgery on the last day of April... We're in different medical networks, though, so maybe that's it.

It's just ridiculous how entrenched car culture is. I have a lot of friends who don't drive.

That looks fun!

I'm guessing that since the people in the "difficult" photos are outside the vehicle, it means they are contemplating how to get unstuck?

Now it's going down this weekend for 48 hours.
