Cleveland should hire him. They're already so offensive they should b easy to teach.

It's not a playbook issue as much as it is a scheme issue.  Few teams run the offensive scheme the pats run; everyone else uses Air Coryell or the West Coast offense.  Even if the plays aren't the same as they were years ago, there's some commonality to it all.  If players don't understand the basis of the system at all, there's nothing to build on.

O'Shea put up respectable passing numbers, but the Dolphins' line play and running game were horrible last season.

They did...

"At the end of the day, though, he was able to land with the Cleveland Browns as their wide receivers coach and passing game coordinator"

Maybe the Browns' problems are rooted in boredom, they just aren't challenged by a typical NFL playbook and stop paying attention. So now they are going to be sent to a special academy taught by coaches who love to challenge bright minds like theirs'. Soon they will be attaining unheard of heights of achievements, like a two game winning streak.

Or a season where no one on the team gets suspended

I'd think the next biggest problems are
1. both McDaniels and Dabol run those offenses and therefore the Bills and Patriots defenses practice against it every day.

2. O'Shea really learned it as McDaniels ran it.  The foundation of that running game was installed when Charlie Weis was there and it's never been as strong as it was 15 years ago.  That was before O'Shea was in New England.

Okay that made me laugh!  Go Browns.  If there is a game I am watching them the first week of October crush the Cowboys, while I wear Browns gear in Dallas.

Maybe they should follow the Patriots' lead, and try to hire players who aren't stupid.
