This illustrates an unfairness of the lockdown.  Victoria's Secret stores have to close because its merchandise is deemed non-essential.  Walmart, Target, and similar stores remain open because they sell essential merchandise.  However, at the  same time people can shop there and purchase the same non-essential merchandise that Victoria's Secret stores cannot sell.

Apples and Oranges.

Most VS stores are inside shopping malls that were closed to keep crowds down.

(shrug) I mean ... VS sells overpriced, mostly uncomfortable underwear. Can't remember the last time I was in their store, much less purchased something.

This latest clusterfark surely didn't help, but it didn't kill VS. Bad management did that.

I guess we won't have the VS "Fashion" Show being broadcast as if it's the Super Bowl anymore. That's a plus.

VS sells overpriced, uncomfortable bras. Most women staying at home are happy to wear comfortable bras or none at all.

VS wouldn't have a snowball's chance in hell, even if their physical stores were open.

My wife I would say is in VS chief demographic and the last time she tried something from them it fit really bad and just basically looked cheap.  I think the big problem is their merchandise is junk.

Hardly. This is apples to apples.

There are plenty of grocery stores that sell the essential things WalMart sells. WalMart should be shut down when on-essential stores are, because they are a non-essential retailer. WalMart is one of the places that continued to sell their entire stock during quarantine and probably undermined Ontario's quarantine, continuing to make our cases rise while everyone else's went down already. our WalMarts are full with bigger crowds than usual, and they are not in the food sections.

You can only open at 25% capacity

VS:  record numbers of customers!!

/some places were below 25% before the pandemic

I like Victoria's Secret bras.  I prefer not to wear one, but when I do it's VS.

It's not just the bra, but getting an accurate fitting in important too.

Also, a transgender woman, I've been very happy with the way they've treated me.
