I think it's SHAMEFUL how Liz "Not Bernie Sanders" Warren ran for president instead of letting Bernie win and STOLE votes that rightfully belonged to Bernie Sanders.  That's why I voted for Tulsi.

I still want to vote for her, and if shes Biden's VP pick....im sold.

I love you boys, but we need to try and keep this thread on-topic, the Bernie supporters have not shown up to bemoan how it is her turn.

God, President Gabbard can't come soon enough.

I voted for Warren in the primary, but I don't want her chosen as VP. The Massachusetts governor is a republican and the dems may lose her seat to a temporary appointment. It's going to be either Klobuchar or Harris.

I would have voted for her in the primary (GA hasn't voted yet), but I don't want her as VP because she's also old. I'd have been fine with it if it were a younger candidate for POTUS.  But we don't need 2 old people running things when a virus is running around killing old people.

I still like Warren because she still fights much harder than the rest of the Democratic group. Reality states you have to compromise especially if the voters go another direction.

That being said its a farking travesty that Biden still can get his farking head out of his farking ass and start pushing for even a platform that gets is a direction towards Medicare for All especially during a crisis where it is clear the private medical insurance system is going to fark us in the ass.

And while I am aware that Biden is light years ahead of whatever Donald Trump calls being a leader this is downright inexcusable and a shame. The platform should be, "Push for reforms that start a pathway for Medicare for All. It is a long road ahead and these changes can start moving Americans to a single-payer system over time"

But no. We have Biden's "Fix Obamacare" platform.

I'm riveted.

By the time the "election" happens, the position of both parties will be US Health Care is just fine.

We have the best healthcare system in the world! People love their insurance providers and wish to keep them.

Wasn't the plan to gradually phase in M4A?  What's the big deal here?

Anyway Biden isn't going to choose Liz as VP.  It means the democrats would lose a Senate seat since the Republican governor will appoint one of his own.

2020-05-21 10:27:36 AM
I voted for Warren. I'd be happy to see her take over for Joe when he bleeds to death out of his eyes during his first State of the Union.

I also appreciate the pragmatism of using any means necessary to expand healthcare instead of being dogmatic about your preferred financing method.

yeah! we have so much choice of insurance!

for instance, I can go with my employer's high deductible plan or low deductible plan OR I can go with my wife's employer's high deductible plan or low deductible plan. too many choices to count!

Yes, the democrats certainly wouldn't make a strategic blunder while advocating for access to out of pocket healthcare costs while 38 million people are unemployed.

This isn't necessarily about getting the VP slot, but more about unifying the party. Senator Warren strikes me as 100% pragmatic and realizes that she can still get some needed reforms if she is willing to compromise.

Unifying the party by making major concessions on healthcare in the middle of a pandemic. That'll surely bring those leftists back into the fold.

I mean, that's the crux of all the issues isn't it? Without comprehensive campaign finance reform and public funding of elections it's likely we will never have substantial change. It always seems that any policy is meant to help the elite and then get everyone else to shut the fark up.

I don't think Biden is honestly a terrible person, but he certainly just thrives off of the current system. He, like other politicians, just resign themselves to "This is just how things are done and we can't change it."

It's only a concession if she had a chance of passing M4A. I hate to break it to you, but that ship sank when Bernie lost.

Senator Sanders took his shot and I respect that a lot. He was like a bad boy in a leather jacket. American voters found him very attractive, but in the end they didn't think he was marriage material.

It is possible to do a lot to improve healthcare short of M4A. I trust Senator Warren to accomplish a lot given support from President Biden, and that is what she is working towards.

Agreed.  Her seat is hardly safe and there's a non-zero chance of the Dems taking a slim majority in the Senate, which would be a massive win.  Losing that majority because some Republican with a pickup truck wins that seat back would really suck.

No, thats the point, Warren shouldn't eat shiat.   Pathetic con artists like Sanders who take gullible morons like yourself and exploit their desire for healthcare to bask in glory and rake in the dough, however, should certainly eat shiat.
