Wishful thinking, subby?  There's nothing about the FTC coming after him.  Just people complaining on Twitter.  Unfortunately it's probably just as legal to fleece people now as it was a few months ago.

Does he come right out and say it cures corona, like Alex Jones? No? Then I don't care.

The hatred toward Tommy could be enough to power the entire country until the end of time.

And it is so richly deserved.

Insufferable douche.

Huh. Admiration for Tawmmy's on-the-field exploits now extends to his business decisions? You guys are gonna be so disappointed.

President Flag Humper doesn't like the competition. You're only allowed to buy useless "cures" from him and his cronies.

Subby, its the FDA that goes after people who make false claims about health benefits, not the FTC

In Tom's defense, he really is stupid enough to believe that his concussion water and immunity boosters actually work.  He's not deliberately lying.

If your fears can be taken advantage of with overpriced vitamins, which you poop a lot out, then you deserve to be taken advantage of.

On a side note, I am selling insurance that will protect you if you happen to get tricked into buying something because you don't understand how the world works. $42 a month gets you peace of mind. If you give me your bank account and routing numbers, I can withdraw the money for you and save you the cost of writing a check.

There are plenty of supplements such as lion's mane that reportedly boost your immune system.  Naming a supplement "Protect" is not bad on its face.  He didn't call it COVID-19 Cure or anything.  Though depending on if it works, a boosted immune system could possibly help your body in fighting off the virus.

Anyone stupid enough to think a supplement hawked by Tawmmy is going to totally protect them while the world's top scientists are scrambling to find effective treatments and a vaccine, well.... a fool and his money....

Yep, there are tons of supplements with names like "Defense" and "Immune Boost." So long as they include fine print that says "These ingredients are for the purpose of providing nutrients to your immune system, and are not for the purpose of treating or preventing any condition or disease" they're fine.

You can imply all you want, just never claim it actually does anything.

Though I dislike Brady, his morals are Tebowesque compared to the average supplements businessmen.

Failing to see a problem here. Hate is free and easy and let's face it, snake oil salesmen are worthy of the hate. They charge a lot of money for something that does not do what it says it does. It ain't like they guys advisor hasn't already pled to a similar scam. It's amusing when us poors see a rich guy get taken in by a con man.

This is Fark. You don't need to justify buying hangover cures.

Coke always has my back. Except when I binge on rum and coke. Swear it's the best thing ever for a hangover. Unless you're drinking it the night before. Then the doctor is as out of it as you are.

Best cure for a hangover is to not be a whiney bisch :)

I think he's going to show up all over the place for decades.  He's not quite equivalent to Michael Jordan, but he's the closest thing that football has ever had.

I used to work as a QC supervisor in an FDA regulated facility that made drug products and supplements as a contract packager/compounding facility. You have to treat the manufacture of the supplements the same. DON'T make any health claims on the container or packaging. That is the fastest way to get fined / inspected / recalled / shut down. At least it used to be under Bush and Obama administrations. I left the field just as Trump got elected for a better paying job. The FTC regulates marketing of the supplements, the FDA is the manufacture and any "adverse event" reporting.
The loopholes in the system are very broad and were obviously bolted in by special interest groups. It basically gets down to "don't sell poison" unless you are going into homeopathic supplements then "sell really really really dilute poison" is your idea. I had to compose myself numerous times reading the HPUS (Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia of the US) because it is just that stupid, funny and more stupid.

It is until you relize one simple fact:

You cannot con an honest man.

Every con in the book involves the mark getting something for nothing, or cheating the system for personal gain.
