If the people who support you have to remain anonymous, you shouldn't be in politics.

I love how even their slogan explicitly defines them as mindless lemmings. It's almost as if they get off on their total abandonment of critical thinking.

when one of these nutters gets in (and no doubt some district is stupid enough to) they will need to make their office into a padded room

The difference between Q anon and D&D is:

One is a made up world filled with strange improbable creatures, fantasy stories and nonsensical happenings enjoyed by pimple faced losers who can't get laid and still live in their mother's basement.

The other is a fun multi-player table game with many sided dice.

One of the only things I don't understand is white supremacy.

I will always disavow that one.

The same people who decry anonymous sources in mainstream reporting are also often the same people who believe anonymously sourced information on Facebook shared by Someone named Q is the gospel of truth.

Cognitive dissonance impacts us all.  Talk to your loved ones about logical, ethical and moral consistency before it's too late!

Look, it's the "blah blah blah" candidate from 2014 spouting more blah blah blah. Nigel Jaquiss rules.

When does Trump embrace QAnon explicitly? His son retweets Q stuff, Trump retweets people whose other posts are Q stuff, he retweets Q stuff but always prefaces it with "I don't know what this means, but isn't it neat?" (the image of Trump with a violin a month and a half ago has a QAnon catchphrase on it.)

When does Trump announce that all his critics are guilty of pedophilia and child trafficking and that they kill the kids to use their blood for Satanic rituals and to make their matzos harvest the adrenochrome from them. I mean, some people will believe it who didn't before he said it and the media will certainly treat it as good faith that the president wouldn't make that sort of allegation without evidence, so why not?

casual disregard: One of the only things I don't understand is white supremacy.

QAnon's connection to White Nationalism is difficult to articulate. "Race Realists" would find a home in QAnon, as would the "Jews are behind every conspiracy" brand of antisemites. That's absolutely vile racism, & that IS White Nationalism, let's not sugar coat things.

But QAnon is very committed to a narrative of re-education of the masses (& yes, you should read that in the sense of PRC re-education camps, even if QAnons don't admit to themselves that's what they mean), not separatism or race war, which makes the two groups at odds with each other.

It's very difficult to use QAnon as a stop in the path to white supremacist radicalization, as at some point you have to give up either QAnon or White Supremacy to radicalize further in either path.

gstro19: Sometimes I really don't like my state

Your state is home to the ultra-Dominionist King;s Way Classical Academy® ("Discipling the Nations, One Student at a Time™") whose founder and headmaster Dennis Oliver Woods was also a paid consultant to your state's GOP. Long before QAnon was a thing, he had this now-defunct website (note the domain name).

She's just the sacrificial lamb for the GOP in this state.

Between motor voter and 100% vote by mail, we actually have a high turnout for elections, and high turn out never leads to good outcomes for GOP candidates.

She can afford to be a dingbat, this state isn't going to elect her no matter what she does, and everyone knows it. Merkley's going to be re-elected like clockwork (thankfully) and this woman is just grifting while she can.

This is so depressing as an Oregonian.

The GOP used to give us centrist, independent candidates. Tom McCall is a state hero.

Now they give us right-wing loons, then constantly whine about tyranny when those folks get trounced in state elections.

Meet the rest of the state halfway or STFU and sit down.

The coming storm was when City Of Heroes/Villains was about to be invaded by the Battalion a  vicious alien species that would require us teaming up with the Rikti and some of the Rularuu and the Pretorians to fight back. The storm never came because NCSOFT shut down the game. The coming storm is not about cooking and raping children in pizza parlors JFC

Where we go one, we go all, but where exactly are they going?

My guess is that they're going to go pee. You often see a bunch of people go off to pee all at once.

Grungehamster: When does Trump embrace QAnon explicitly?

Trump tries not to do ANYTHING explicitly.

That's how he sends out dog whistles like "Some people say that (statement intended to inflame the anger of far right jerks)" then turns around and says after the jerks commit an atrocity that "I never told anyone to do that! Not my responsibility!"
