At least there's kind of a good reason they won't win the Cup this year. For once.

The Cup spends its summers in Canada.

Every single year.

It doesn't matter which American team wins the Cup, it always comes home.

Maybe CSB?

My rink is "closed". Despite this, they are renting ice slots to people "in the know". I was invited to play last night by a teammate from my beer league team. It was 10 players max, no more than 5 per locker room, and we played full sheet 4 on 4 with goalies. It was goddamn amazing. I haven't skated since early March and the only exercise I've been getting since quarantine is chasing my kids and working out my thumbs on the PS4 controller. At the end of the hour, everyone was agreeing that it was great to play again, that we were all out of shape already, and going to be sore tomorrow. And it was totally worth it.

Some of you are going to read this and start foaming at the mouth about how awful I am for potentially exposing myself to the COVIDs and putting everyone at risk, blah blah blah. Whatever. I needed that skate, more for my mental health than for physical exercise. I regret nothing.

Flame on.

Congratulations on knowing the risks.

Hopefully your kids don't die from your brave decision and you have to live the rest of your life knowing that. But you've already shown you don't give a fark about them, why start caring now?

Yes, you absolutely "needed" that skate, just like Karen "needs" that haircut and pedicure, and Cletus "needs" to get beers with the bros at Buffalo Wild Wings.

NHL players are going without ice time - you can suck it up too.

/stay in your room, and away from your wife and kids, for the next 14 days, and think about what you just did

Is everyone so stupid to think that a few people that have been isolated for 20+ days with no illness or even any sign of illness are harbingers of C-19.  You are the idiots that shouldn't be voting.

Sorry I hurt your precious fee-fees, Dick (how appropriate), but who's the bigger asshole: me, the mighty keyboard warrior, or the clown who put himself and everyone around him in danger just so he could have a little fun for an hour?

/though likely the biggest asshole here is the rink manager
