(Twitter)   Since Hollywood is out of ideas, maybe they could have the Sears Tower come alive from black magic and fight Godzilla or something. Creepy pic is creepy   (twitter.com) divider line

If someone from Hollywood browses Fark, I got an idea for you that no one has ever done:

In this timeline, we'd get The Teletubbies vs. Barney.

/And it would get 5 sequels
//All directed by Uwe Boll

I bet the IT guy in that office on the right halfway up is happy he invested in UPS. Unfortunately he was fired because everything was working well so why should they keep paying him.

finnished: I bet the IT guy in that office on the right halfway up is happy he invested in UPS. Unfortunately he was fired because everything was working well so why should they keep paying him.

In my previous job, I was the SysAdmin in charge of keeping a data center running for a small web development group.  Everyone worked on-site.  Because we were all in there together, and corporate IT was located elsewhere (and never really grasped that developers had different needs than Excel / Office / Email jockeys), I handled most of the User PC work as well.

The servers were covered by a giant UPS backed up by a diesel generator.  The user PCs were plugged into wall sockets.  I managed to talk the boss into picking up a bunch of small desktop UPS's to cover the PCs.

We got them in one fine summer day and I started installing them after hours.  Less than one week after I had them all in place, we had a summer thunderstorm one afternoon that took down our power three times in less than two hours.  The users never missed a beat, and looked at me like I had sprouted two heads or something.

I was happy, because I didn't have to put up with any biatching from my users or fix any damaged PCs.  Boss was happy because no one lost any work.

Meh Hollywood is not out of ideas, it's more that for the most part  no one has the balls to take a risk on anything new  that doesn't have a built in fan base already existing before they make the film.

What is the movie where the rocks grow real tall, fall over, break up and grow tall again? They kept spreading that way.

I get that, I am mere stating facts.   I do agree thats alot to risk and so understandably if frustratingly most studio take the safe bets and so Hollywood stagnates.
